Veldekis Dimitrios is a Pulmonologist - Intensivist with a private practice in Korydallos. Μετά την λήψη της ειδικότητας εργάσθηκε στο Ογκολογικό Νοσοκομείο "Άγιοι Ανάργυροι", όπου του απονεμήθηκε η ειδικότητα της Παθολογικής Ογκολογίας το 1998, όταν θεσπίσθηκε η ειδικότητα στην Ελλάδα. Υπηρέτησε διαδοχικά σαν Επιμελητής στα Ογκολογικά Νοσοκομεία "Άγιοι Ανάργυροι" και "Άγιος Σάββας", όπου εξελίχθηκε στον βαθμό του Διευθυντή της Β’ Ογκολογικής Κλινικής. Το 2015 αποφάσισε να συνεχίσει στον ιδιωτικό τομέα, οπότε υπέβαλλε την παραίτηση του και έκτοτε εργάζεται στην Ευρωκλινική Αθηνών σαν Διευθυντής Ογκολογικού Τμήματος. Έχει συμμετάσχει, σαν ερευνητής και υπεύθυνος επιδοτούμενου ερευνητικού προγράμματος για την κληρονομικότητα του καρκίνου του μαστού και των ωοθηκών και σαν υπεύθυνος του κληρονομικού καρκίνου και γενετικής συμβουλευτικής στο Νοσοκομείο "Άγιος Σάββας".
