Vryonis Giorgos

Dr. Vryonis Giorgos is a Ophthalmic Surgeon, Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Theia Pronoi Hospital "I Pammakaristos" and maintains an ophthalmology clinic in Ampelokipi. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a specialist ophthalmologist with extensive experience in Greece and abroad. After completing his specialty training at the Athens Polyclinic, he undertook further training in cataract surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and specialized in corneal diseases at Leicester Royal Infirmary. He has served as a consultant in major NHS hospitals and since 2017 has been the Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Theia Pronoi Hospital "I Pammakaristos". His academic career includes doctoral research at the Medical School of Athens and participation as an examiner for the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO), holding the title Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBOphth). Additionally, he is a member of major scientific societies such as the British Medical Association (GMC), the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society, ESCRS, and EURETINA. Finally, Dr. Vryonis provides high-level ophthalmology services, specializing in cataract surgery, glaucoma, eyelid surgery, refractive surgery, and the comprehensive management of anterior segment diseases.
