Αξιοποιεί παραδοσιακές αλλά και σύγχρονες μεθόδους διάγνωσης, όπως είναι η βιοψία μυελού των οστών, η κυτταρομετρία, ο καρυότυπος και η μελέτη μοριακών μεταλλάξεων.
