Hematologist Dr. Garypidou - Vratskidou Vasileia is an Emeritus Professor of Pathology - Hematology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She was born in Katerini, graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and holds specialties in Pathology and Hematology. She received honors both in her undergraduate and postgraduate studies. She underwent further training in the Hematology Department of the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London, in the General Hematology Unit and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. For many years, she was head of the Hematology Department of the 2nd Propaedeutic Pathology University Clinic at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "Hippokration" (a department that monitors and treats patients with all benign and malignant hematological diseases) and of the Hemophilia Center of Northern Greece (the only adult center in Northern Greece for hereditary disorders of hemostasis). Dr. Garypidou has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of hematological disorders such as anemias of various etiologies, Mediterranean and sickle cell anemia, acute and chronic leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic syndromes, and lymphadenopathies. Additionally, she manages conditions involving high or low white blood cells, high or low platelets, elevated hematocrit, bleeding tendencies, thrombophilia, thromboses, anticoagulant therapy, and hematological and thrombotic complications during pregnancy, among others.

Marinaki Paulina MD, PhD is a Specialist Hematologist with a private practice in Thessaloniki. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a PhD from Democritus University of Thrace. She specialized in Hematology in the United Kingdom and has worked at major hospital institutions in Thessaloniki, such as the AHEPA University Hospital, the General Hospital "Papageorgiou," and the Oncology Hospital "Theageneio." Dr. Marinaki has extensive experience in managing the full spectrum of hematological disorders, both malignant and non-malignant, including anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, leukemia and lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic syndromes, thrombophilia and hemorrhagic diathesis, as well as hematology in pregnancy. In addition to her private practice, she serves as a consultant Hematologist at the Interbalkan Medical Center, the Bioclinic of Thessaloniki, and Genesis Clinic. She is also a member of the Hellenic Society of Hematology, the European Hematology Association, and the British Society for Haematology.

Maria Eustratiadou is a Hematologist collaborating with Genesis Clinic and Euromedica General Clinic. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed her specialization in Hematology at Papageorgiou Hospital. She has served as a Senior Registrar B at Papageorgiou Hospital, gaining extensive experience in the diagnosis and therapeutic management of patients across the full spectrum of benign and malignant Hematology (Myelodysplastic Neoplasms, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Acute Leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Thrombocytopenias, Anemia, Hematology Counseling). She has attended numerous conferences with active participation and publications. She successfully passed the European Hematology examinations in 2023. She provides patient services both in clinical settings and via video consultation for patients in remote areas without access to an in-person Hematologist. She undertakes treatments including (immunotherapy, chemotherapy), transfusions, phlebotomies, intravenous iron administration within the clinic, with participation of the National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) in the clinical costs. She performs bone marrow aspiration and biopsy using the latest and minimally painful "drill biopsy" technique because her priority is the comfort and quality of life of her patients. Her goal is the timely and accurate management of her patients, with respect and consideration for the individual.

Η Δρ Άννα Χριστοφορίδου είναι Αιματολόγος, διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης. Αποφοίτησε από την Ιατρική Σχολή του ΑΠΘ το 1995 και ειδικεύτηκε στην Αιματολογία στο Νοσοκομείο ΠΑΓΝΗ του Ηρακλείου Κρήτης. Μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στην Αμερική τόσο σε ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα στο Ίδρυμα M.O.R.I. του Πανεπιστημίου TUFTS της Βοστώνης, όσο και στην Αιματολογική Ογκολογία στο Νοσοκομείο MD Anderson, Houston. 

Εμπειρία:

Εργάστηκε ως επιστημονική συνεργάτης στο Νοσοκομείο Παπαγεωργίου Θεσσαλονίκης το 2004-2005 και από το 2006 έως το 2019 ως Επιμελήτρια ΕΣΥ στην Πανεπιστημιακή Αιματολογική Κλινική του Νοσοκομείου Αλεξανδρούπολης. Έχει πλούσιο συγγραφικό και εκπαιδευτικό έργο.

Spyridonidis Aleksandros is a Professor of Hematology at the University of Patras and the University of Freiburg, External Collaborator of the 1st Hematology Clinic at Errikos Dynan Hospital, Director of the Hematology Department, the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Institute of Cellular Therapies, the Donor Center "Give Life," and the MSc program “Cell & Gene Therapies” at the University of Patras. He is also the Director of the Hellenic Public Umbilical Cord Blood Bank at I.I.V.E.A.A., while concurrently maintaining a private practice in Ampelokipoi. With an extensive academic and clinical background in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, cellular immunotherapy, and oncohematology, he has served as the Leader of the Acute Leukemia Working Party of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) and is a certified JACIE Inspector. His clinical, research, and educational activities include over 150 international publications, participation in numerous clinical studies, and the training of new scientists.

Apsemidou Athanasia MD, MSc, PhDc is a Specialist Hematologist maintaining a private practice in Kalamaria and Evosmos. She graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), followed by postgraduate studies titled "Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies" at the same university's Medical School. Since 2025, she has been a PhD candidate (PhDc) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Polytechnic Department of "Biomedical Engineering." From 2019 to the present, she has worked as a Hematologist at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and at the AHEPA University General Hospital in Thessaloniki. Since 2024, she has served as an academic collaborator at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
