Πτυχιούχος και Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών και κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος στη Διοίκηση Μονάδων Υγείας.

Την ειδικότητά του στην Οφθαλμολογία την ολοκλήρωσε σε μεγάλα νοσοκομεία της χώρας, αποκτώντας πλούσια χειρουργική εμπειρία.

Εκπαιδεύτηκε στο Ναυτικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών, στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Παίδων Αθηνών «Παναγιώτη & Αγλαΐας Κυριακού» και στο Πανεπιστημιακό Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Πατρών, όπου πραγματοποίησε επεμβάσεις καταρράκτη, χειρουργεία στραβισμού σε παιδιά, καθώς και εξειδικευμένες παιδοοφθαλμολογικές επεμβάσεις.

Σήμερα εργάζεται ως Επιμελητής Οφθαλμίατρος στο Κέντρο Υγείας Σαλαμίνας και στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Παίδων Αθηνών «Παναγιώτη & Αγλαΐας Κυριακού», ενώ έχει αποκτήσει και διεθνή εμπειρία στο Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals του NHS στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία.

Παράλληλα συνεργάζεται με ιδιωτικές κλινικές της Αθήνας, πραγματοποιώντας επεμβάσεις καταρράκτη και διαθλαστικής χειρουργικής.

Η ιδιαίτερη εξειδίκευσή του στην παιδοοφθαλμολογία περιλαμβάνει την αντιμετώπιση στραβισμού, αμβλυωπίας και άλλων διαταραχών της παιδικής όρασης.

Στο πλαίσιο της διδακτορικής του διατριβής ασχολήθηκε για αρκετά χρόνια με τις παθήσεις της ωχράς κηλίδας σε ενήλικες, μελετώντας την κλινική πορεία των ασθενών, εφαρμόζοντας ενδοϋαλοειδικές ενέσεις και παρακολουθώντας τα θεραπευτικά αποτελέσματα.

Η κλινική και χειρουργική του δραστηριότητα επικεντρώνεται σήμερα στη χειρουργική καταρράκτη, στην παιδοοφθαλμολογία, καθώς και στις σύγχρονες θεραπείες παθήσεων της ωχράς κηλίδας.

Ο Διονύσιος Τριανταφύλλου MD, MSc, PhDc, FEBO είναι Χειρουργός Οφθαλμίατρος με εξειδίκευση στις παθήσεις και τις επεμβάσεις του κερατοειδούς και του προσθίου ημιμορίου. Διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην Βούλα. Η ακαδημαϊκή του πορεία ξεκίνησε από την Κτηνιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας (2008) και συνεχίστηκε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (2013). Ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητά του στην Οφθαλμολογία το 2022, λαμβάνοντας παράλληλα τον ευρωπαϊκό τίτλο Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (2021). Το έντονο ενδιαφέρον του για τον κερατοειδή, τις μεταμοσχεύσεις και τη διαθλαστική χειρουργική τον οδήγησε στο εθνικό σύστημα υγείας (NHS) του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου , όπου μετεκπαιδεύτηκε εντατικά. Κατείχε τις θέσεις του Cornea and anterior segment Fellow στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Newcastle (Royal Victoria Hospital) και στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Southampton. Σε ακαδημαϊκό επίπεδο, ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα το μεταπτυχιακό «Ιατρική μεθοδολογία της έρευνας»  από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης το 2020. Από το 2022 είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτωρ στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, με ερευνητικό αντικείμενο τη χρήση της συνεστιακής μικροσκοπίας στις παθήσεις του κερατοειδούς. Διαθέτει σημαντική ερευνητική εμπειρία, έχοντας συμμετάσχει ως co-investigator σε ευρωπαϊκά clinical trials, ενώ έχει συμβάλλει ενεργά στην εκπαίδευση ως εκπαιδευτής σε wet labs της Ευρωπαϊκής Εταιρίας Καταρράκτη και Διαθλαστικής Χειρουργικής (ESCRS) και του μεταπτυχιακού πργράμματος "Χειρουργική του Οφθαλμού" στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης.

Tsoumpris Ioannis MD, FEBO is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with a private practice in Glyfada. He is also a scientific associate at the Macular Institute and at the Modern Medifirst Polyclinics of Alimos. He holds the European Diploma in Ophthalmology "Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology."
