Tsoukanas Dimitrios is a Surgeon Ophthalmologist who maintains a private practice in Kifisia. He graduated with distinction from the Medical School of the University of Crete. Subsequently, he trained in Ophthalmology at the Corinth Hospital and the 2nd University Clinic of Athens. Simultaneously, he collaborated with the Ophthalmology Clinic Athens Vision, where he was trained in refractive surgery (laser myopia correction) and first studied glaucoma in depth, undertaking the design and completion of research protocols and observing esteemed Glaucoma specialists in managing complex cases. Completing his training in 2016 and following examinations, he was certified as a Surgeon Ophthalmologist and Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology. In 2018, he was accepted into the prestigious European Ophthalmology Clinic Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he specialized in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and performed high-difficulty cataract surgeries. Additionally, he attended seminars on injectable therapies in aesthetic ophthalmology (Botox and Fillers), as well as the renowned Moorfields training program in refractive surgery. In 2021, after 20 years of studies, specialization, surgeries, presentations, and publications at national and international conferences and scientific journals, he inaugurated his private practice Precision Ophthalmology in Kifisia, where with great responsibility and respect towards the patient, he offers his services to new and existing patients. Simultaneously, he serves as Scientific Collaborator of the Ophthalmology Clinic Athens Vision and Honorary Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Finally, the physician collaborates with the private clinics Euroclinic Pediatrics, Euroclinic Athens, and Errikos Dynan as a Scientific Collaborator.
