Kourti Persefoni MD, FEBO, FEBO-SP

Kourti Persefoni is an Ophthalmic Surgeon, maintains a private practice in Athens, and is a Consultant in the Pediatric Ophthalmology department at Mitera Hospital. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as a scholarship recipient from the University of Athens. She specialized in Ophthalmology at the Hôpital ophtalmique Jules Gonin in Switzerland and at the First University Clinic of the G. Gennimatas Hospital. She holds diplomas from the European Board of Ophthalmology and the International Council of Ophthalmology. She has been awarded, after examinations, the European Subspecialty Title in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (FEBO-SP) from the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO), the European Strabismological Association (ESA), and the European Paediatric Ophthalmological Society (EPOS). She specialized in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. She has also worked at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia". She has published papers in international scientific journals and has presented at Greek, European, and international conferences. She is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society, as well as the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. In her practice, she manages cases covering the entire spectrum of ophthalmology, while also specializing in strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology.
