Ο Διονύσιος Τριανταφύλλου MD, MSc, PhDc, FEBO είναι Χειρουργός Οφθαλμίατρος με εξειδίκευση στις παθήσεις και τις επεμβάσεις του κερατοειδούς και του προσθίου ημιμορίου. Διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην Βούλα. Η ακαδημαϊκή του πορεία ξεκίνησε από την Κτηνιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας (2008) και συνεχίστηκε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (2013). Το έντονο ενδιαφέρον του για τον κερατοειδή, τις μεταμοσχεύσεις και τη διαθλαστική χειρουργική τον οδήγησε στο εθνικό σύστημα υγείας (NHS) του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου , όπου μετεκπαιδεύτηκε εντατικά. Κατείχε τις θέσεις του Cornea and anterior segment Fellow στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Newcastle (Royal Victoria Hospital) και στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Southampton. Σε ακαδημαϊκό επίπεδο, ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα το μεταπτυχιακό «Ιατρική μεθοδολογία της έρευνας»  από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης το 2020. Από το 2022 είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτωρ στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, με ερευνητικό αντικείμενο τη χρήση της συνεστιακής μικροσκοπίας στις παθήσεις του κερατοειδούς. Από το 2024, παρακολουθεί το δεύτερο μεταπτυχιακό του στο ΕΚΠΑ με τίτλο «Αντιμετώπιση Διαθλαστικών Εκτροπών και Διαθλαστικές Επεμβάσεις».
