Dr. Mendrinos Eustratios graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Liège in Belgium with Highest Distinction. He specialized in ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland, where he also earned his Doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva. He worked as a Consultant in the Department of Retinal, Vitreous, and Macular Diseases and Surgery at the University Hospital of Geneva, and subsequently at the University Hospital of Liverpool, England, under the direction of the world-renowned ophthalmic surgeons Professor K. Pournaras and Prof. H. Heiman, respectively. He is the author of 35 articles in international scientific journals, as well as 18 chapters in English and French ophthalmology books, and has delivered over 90 presentations at Greek and international ophthalmology conferences. He holds the European Board of Ophthalmology diploma and has been awarded for his scientific work at international conferences. Dr. Mendrinos has participated in international studies (Excite, Mont Blanc, Cabernet, VIEW2) that established the modern management of age-related macular degeneration. He is the founder and administrator of the Medica Polyclinic in Agios Stefanos, where he currently practices, a state-of-the-art facility covering nearly all specialties. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Athens Medical Center in Marousi and the OMMA Ophthalmology Clinic.

Professor Petroutsos Georgios MD, PhD is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with private practices in Athens and Kifisia. He possesses extensive experience in corneal diseases, dry eye syndrome, rheumatic eye disorders, and glaucoma. Surgically, he specializes in cataract surgery and the correction of myopia, astigmatism, hypermetropia, and presbyopia using specialized intraocular lenses. He served as a Researcher at I.N.S.E.R.M (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale), Ophthalmology Group Unit 86, and as a Researcher at C.N.R.S (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), Unit 118. He was appointed Maître de Conférences Agrégé des Universités à titre étranger. In March 1987, he was conferred the title of Professeur des Universités - Praticien Hospitalier à titre étranger. After his three-year stay in France, he worked for various periods at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. He returned from abroad in 1985 and was appointed Chief Ophthalmologist Grade A at the Athens Eye Hospital. From 1986, he worked at the University Hospital of Ioannina as an Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor until 1992. He gained particular expertise in Sjogren’s syndrome through collaboration with the Internal Medicine Clinic and Professor Ch. Moutsopoulos. He has authored three dissertations, over 50 foreign-language scientific publications, and more than 150 Greek publications. From 1992, he served as Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic at the Blue Cross for fifteen years. He currently performs surgery at the specialized Ophthalmology Clinic Hypapanti tou Christou.

Athanasiou Konstantina is an Ophthalmic Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Galatsi. Giavi Varvara is a Ophthalmic Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Athens. She studied at the Medical School of Patras, graduating in 2010. Subsequently, she completed her rural medical service in Andritsaina, Ilia, and began her specialty training at the Panarcadian Hospital of Tripoli for one year.
