Konstantinos Zampelis is a Gastroenterologist and maintains a private practice in Galatsi, Athens. Concurrently, he is an external collaborator of the 2nd Gastroenterology Department of Interventional Endoscopy at "Errikos Dynan" Hospital, the 1st Gastroenterology Clinic of "IASO General" Hospital, and the "Bioclinic of Athens." He graduated from the Medical School of the State University of Naples, Italy, "Federico II" and obtained his specialty degree in the Gastroenterology Department at "Erythros Stavros" Hospital, where he specialized primarily in Interventional Gastroenterology. He has performed a large number of diagnostic and interventional endoscopies such as polyp removal in the stomach and intestines, hemostasis of hemorrhages, removal of foreign bodies from the digestive tract, variceal banding and sclerotherapy, gastrostomy placement, esophageal and intestinal dilations, use of endoclips, APC, and Gold Probe, as well as a significant number (>300) of ERCP procedures.
To date, he has participated in numerous Greek and international conferences with the aim of continuous education and training in his specialized field.
He is a member of the Athens Medical Association and a regular member of the Hellenic Gastroenterological Society.
