Dr Aria Xristopoulou is a Psychologist with a private practice in Ilion. She holds a PhD, a BSc degree in Psychological Sciences, a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and a master's degree in Existential Psychotherapy & Counseling. She is a member of the British Psychological Society, from which she also obtained her license to practice as a Psychologist, and she holds the Greek professional license issued by the Hellenic National Recognition and Information Center (NARIC). Additionally, she is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. During her 15 years of experience in London, she has worked within the National Health Service (NHS) in adult mental health clinics and community psychological support programs for adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Furthermore, she has worked with adults experiencing severe mental illnesses in both primary and secondary care settings. She has provided psychological support to inpatients (aged 18-65) in emergency admission units, as well as in Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, offering specialized psychological assessments of mental disorders using psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, collaborating with patients, family members, and other caregivers. She has also assisted adolescents facing emotional, psychological, or behavioral difficulties related to school, health, peer relationships, or developmental challenges. From 2012 to 2017, she served as Scientific Collaborator and Head of the Mental Health Department at the Unified Journalistic Organization (EDOEP). In her private practice, she offers a range of personalized, confidential evaluations and interventions for adults and adolescents.
