Η μέθοδος χρησιμοποιείται και για την αντιμετώπιση τενοντοπαθειών οξέων αλλά και χρόνιων. Σε βλάβες αρθρικού χόνδρου και σε επιλεγμένα περιστατικά αρθροπαθειών γόνατος και ισχίου που δεν απαιτείται χειρουργική επέμβαση εφαρμόζεται στο ιατρείο η μέθοδος της έγχυσης καλλιέργειας αυτόλογων ενεργοποιημένων βλαστοκυττάρων που συλλέγονται από το κοιλιακό λίπος (Cartil-S, Theracell).
