Niskopoulou Mania Phd Kai Synergates is an Ophthalmic Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Chalandri. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Age-related Macular Degeneration and Retinal diseases (fellowship in Medical Retina) at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, one of the largest clinical and research centers worldwide. Since 2003, she has worked as a cataract surgeon and specialist in retinal diseases (diabetic lesions, macular degeneration, vascular diseases, genetic disorders) in hospitals in England and Greece. More specifically, she has served as a Consultant at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and at Moorfields at Croydon University Hospital in London, where she was also the director of the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Department, as well as an attending physician at Frimley Park Hospital. For the past 5 years, she has maintained a practice in France as well. In Athens, she collaborates with modern Ophthalmology Centers, where she performs surgeries and supplementary ophthalmological examinations. She is the Director of the 2nd Ophthalmology Clinic at Metropolitan General Hospital. She is a Collaborator at Eye Day Clinic, OMMA, and AKTINA. Additionally, she holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She teaches in the postgraduate Vitreous-Retina Program of NKUA. She continues to participate in numerous national and international conferences, presenting papers and lectures in workshops and round tables. Recently, she collaborates in the practice with Ms. Fenia Kokolaki, Ophthalmic Surgeon, graduate and PhD holder of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with extensive experience in Germany.
