Στον τομέα του καρκίνου του προστάτη, η προσέγγιση επικεντρώνεται στην εξατομικευμένη αξιολόγηση κάθε ασθενούς και στην επιλογή της κατάλληλης θεραπευτικής στρατηγικής. Όταν υπάρχει ένδειξη για χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση, η ρομποτική ριζική προστατεκτομή αποτελεί μία από τις βασικές χειρουργικές επιλογές, με στόχο την ογκολογικά ασφαλή αφαίρεση του όγκου και, όπου αυτό είναι εφικτό με βάση τα χαρακτηριστικά της νόσου, τη διατήρηση της εγκράτειας και της σεξουαλικής λειτουργίας. Η ίδια εξατομικευμένη προσέγγιση εφαρμόζεται και στις χειρουργικές παθήσεις του νεφρού, της ουροδόχου κύστης και του ουρητήρα, όπου η επιλογή της τεχνικής καθορίζεται από το είδος και την έκταση της νόσου, αλλά και από τη συνολική κατάσταση του ασθενούς.

Παράλληλα με τη χειρουργική του δραστηριότητα, ο Σταύρος Βουρεκάς ασχολείται με το σύνολο των παθήσεων της Ουρολογίας και της Ανδρολογίας, όπως την καλοήθη υπερπλασία του προστάτη, τη λιθίαση του ουροποιητικού, τις παθήσεις των νεφρών και της ουροδόχου κύστης, καθώς και προβλήματα ανδρικής σεξουαλικής υγείας. He began his training in Urology at the 2nd Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the General Children's Hospital of Athens "P. & A. Kyriakou," continued at the University Urology Clinic of the University Hospital of Patras, and completed it at the Urology Clinic of Guy’s Hospital in London. He holds the European Board of Urology Diploma (FEBU) and the Greek urology specialty title, which he obtained after excelling in examinations. Currently, he is an exclusive collaborator of the Athens Bioclinic and the extracorporeal lithotripsy department of the "Errikos Dynan" Hospital Center. Throughout his career, he has also taught medical students for several years at the Universities of Patras and Thessaly. Additionally, he has served as a Consultant in the Urology Clinics of the University Hospital of Thessaly and the General Hospital of Elefsina "Thriasio." Ολοκλήρωσε την ειδίκευσή του στην Χειρουργική Ουρολογία στην Β’ Πανεπιστημιακή Ουρολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Στην συνέχεια, εξειδικεύτηκε στην Ρομποτική Χειρουργική του Ανώτερου Ουροποιητικού και της Πυέλου, στην Πανεπιστημιακή Ουρολογική κλινική, στο University College London Hospital του Λονδίνου και στην Πανεπιστημιακή Ουρολογική Κλινική, στο University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

Έχει ανακηρυχθεί Διδάκτωρ Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, Senior Robotic Fellow από το University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire και Honorary Robotic Fellow από το University College London Hospital. He has participated in numerous Greek and international conferences, both as an invited speaker and as a presenter of posters and oral presentations, and has published numerous foreign-language articles in reputable journals in the scientific field. Finally, he has contributed as an author to the international English-language book on Robotic Urology "Robotics in Genitourinary Surgery," edition 2, Springer.

Dr. Vazakis Ioannis is a Urologist - Andrologist who maintains private practices in Sitia (Crete) as well as in Athens (Petroupoli). He graduated from the Seconda Universita di Napoli in Italy and completed his military service as a rural physician at the General Hospital of Sitia, assigned to the hospital's surgical clinic. Subsequently, he trained in various surgical specialties, including endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, and surgical trauma, while also participating in the activities of the hospital's Emergency Department. Additionally, at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "Agios Dimitrios," he trained as a surgical resident.
