Oikonomaki - Vouroukou Eleni is a Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist who graduated from the General High School of Neapoli Lasithi and the Medical School of the University of Messina, Italy, with the grade "Excellent with Honors." During her medical studies, she completed an experimental thesis titled "Application of Lasers in the Treatment of Technical Injuries in Experimental Animals." In February 1989, she obtained a Medical Practice License in Italy after passing the required examinations, which was automatically recognized in Greece. She fulfilled her Rural Service at the Malies Ierapestrás rural clinic and the Ierapestrás Health Center. She served as a resident physician in the Internal Medicine Clinic of the University Hospital of Heraklion for her basic training in internal medicine and subsequently served as a resident physician in the University Gastroenterology Clinic of the same hospital. In May 1998, she successfully passed the specialty examinations in Gastroenterology – Hepatology. She then worked for two years as an unpaid Scientific Collaborator in the activities of the University Gastroenterology Clinic, specifically in hepatology. She worked as a gastroenterologist for six years at the Medical Center of Crete, Heraklion Diagnostic Center, and as the head of the endoscopy department. Additionally, she was the head of the endoscopy department at the Agios Georgios clinic for several years. Since then, she has been operating her private practice in Heraklion at 8 Arkonisou Street in Nea Alikarnassos, equipped with a fully equipped endoscopy department where endoscopies are performed (Gastroscopy – Colonoscopy – Polyp removal).

Karatzas Pantelis is a Gastroenterologist who maintains a private practice in the Ampelokipoi area. He completed his doctoral dissertation at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Medical degree from the same university. He received advanced training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and specialized in Gastroenterology at "Evangelismos" Hospital and in General Pathology at the General Hospital of Chalkida. Lazaridis Nikolaos MD MSc PhD is a Gastroenterologist specialized in Interventional Endoscopy and Enteroscopy. He maintains a private practice in the center of Thessaloniki on Agias Sofias Street. He completed his doctoral dissertation at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a medical degree from the same university. He specialized in Gastroenterology at the AHEPA University General Hospital of Thessaloniki and subsequently received further training in Interventional Endoscopy, Enteroscopy (capsule endoscopy and interventional enteroscopy), and Transnasal Endoscopy at the Royal Free Hospital in London (under the direction of Dr. Edward J. Despott, Head of the Endoscopy Department). Additionally, he specialized in interventional endoscopy at Jichi University Hospital in Japan. Following this, he remained at the Royal Free Hospital in London, where he has since worked as a permanent endoscopist in the hospital’s Endoscopy Department, performing numerous interventional endoscopic procedures. He completed his doctoral research on Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and holds a postgraduate degree in Health Units Management from the Hellenic Open University. He has served as a scientific collaborator at the 2nd Propaedeutic University Clinic of Hippocrates Hospital and at the 1st University Clinic of AHEPA Hospital in Thessaloniki. Finally, he is a member of numerous scientific societies, has attended numerous Greek and international conferences, participated in various specialized seminars, and has publications and written presentations both in Greece and abroad.

Dr. Papafragkakis Xarilaos is a Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist - Interventional Endoscopist and maintains a private practice in Kolonaki. He has been fully trained in the USA. He holds a medical degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and specialized in Gastroenterology at the Brooklyn Hospital Center of Mount Sinai - Icahn School of Medicine in New York. He specialized in Interventional Endoscopy at the MD Anderson Cancer Center Hospital of the University of Texas and in Hepatology at the University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Varytimiadis Lazaros MD, MSc, FEBGH, PhD is a Gastroenterologist - Interventional Endoscopist, Deputy Director of the Gastroenterology Clinic and Endoscopy Department at MITERA Hospital, and maintains private practices in Pefki and Athens. He received a scholarship from the Hellenic Society of Gastroenterology and completed advanced training in Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at Queen Alexandra Hospital, where he was later appointed and worked as a Consultant. He specialized in Gastroenterology at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos - Athens Ophthalmological Clinic - Polyclinic," as well as in Internal Medicine at the General Prefectural Hospital of Edessa. Additionally, he holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a dissertation focused on the removal of precancerous lesions (polyps) from the gastrointestinal tract. He completed a postgraduate MSc program in Crisis Management at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and graduated with honors from the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. It is noteworthy that his main clinical interests include complex polypectomies of large polyps (EMR, pEMR, ESD), monitoring patients with Barrett’s esophagus, and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. Furthermore, he has participated in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and advanced training seminars, has received scholarships and awards for best scientific presentations, and has delivered oral presentations and posters at various scientific meetings.

Γνωστικά αντικείμενα ενδιαφέροντος (διαγνωστική και επεμβατική ενδοσκόπηση ανωτέρου και κατωτέρου πεπτικού, νοσήματα ήπατος-χοληφόρων -παγκρέατος, ιδιοπαθή φλεγμονώδη νοσήματα του εντέρου/ελκώδης κολίτιδα-νόσος Crohn). Αποτελεί τακτικό μέλος της Ελληνικής Γαστρεντερολογικής Εταιρείας (ΕΓΕ),τακτικό μέλος της Επαγγελματικής Εταιρείας Γαστρεντερολόγων Ελλάδας(ΕΠΕΓΕ) και κάτοχος του Ευρωπαικού διπλώματος Γαστρεντερολογίας και Ηπατολογίας (European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology/EBGH).

Zlatinoudis Xaralampos is a Gastroenterologist-Hepatologist who maintains a private practice in Argyroupoli. Through a scholarship from the UEG organization, he participated as a visiting Consultant in the activities of the Gastroenterology department of Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, which is one of the European Gastroenterology Centres of Excellence and a certified center for the interdisciplinary and holistic management of obesity by the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO). Lazaridis Lazaros - Dimitrios is a Gastroenterologist and serves as Consultant in the Gastroenterology – Hepatology Clinic at Metropolitan General in Cholargos. He also maintains a private practice at the Pharos of Neo Psychiko. He studied Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and specialized in Gastroenterology - Hepatology at the University General Hospital “Attikon.” Beyond the national exams for obtaining the Gastroenterology specialty title, he participated in the activities of the 14th Hepatology School of the Hellenic Association for the Study of the Liver and was awarded following his participation in the examinations. He was awarded a Doctorate from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2017 with a grade of “Excellent.” He completed his doctoral thesis at the 2nd University Pathology Clinic of the University General Hospital “Attikon” focusing on the role of the inflammasome in idiopathic inflammatory bowel diseases. He is the author of more than 15 scientific articles in reputable international scientific journals. He has participated as an invited speaker at Greek conferences and has been part of the authorship team in nearly 50 presentations at international and Greek conferences. He has actively participated in multicenter clinical studies. He has taught students at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens within the framework of undergraduate courses. He fulfilled his mandatory rural service as a physician at the General Hospital of Trikala in the Regional Clinic of “Koniskos” and served as a Pathology specialty trainee at the General Hospital of Athens “Sismanogleio,” as part of his training for the Gastroenterology specialty. Finally, he fulfilled his military obligations as a unit doctor in the Hellenic Army, serving at the 95th National Guard Reconnaissance Squadron (95 EAΝΕΘ) in Gennadi, Rhodes.

Pontas Xristos is a Gastroenterologist and maintains his private practice in Athens. He has served as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Acute General Medicine at the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead NHS Trust and as a Clinical Fellow in the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Department of the same hospital in London. It is noteworthy that he was awarded a UEG (United European Gastroenterology) Scholarship as well as a Scholarship from the Hellenic Gastroenterological Society. Kostas Athanasios MD, PhD is a Gastroenterologist with a private practice located in Kato Toumpa, Thessaloniki. He holds a Doctorate from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a graduate of the same Medical School. He initially specialized at the General Hospital of Mytilene "Vostaneio" and completed his Gastroenterology specialty training at the University Gastroenterology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Laiko."
