Κατά την παραμονή του εκεί απέκτησε μια τεράστια εμπειρία και εξειδίκευση που ελάχιστοι χειρουργοί στην Ευρώπη κατέχουν, και ανέλαβε τον Τομέα του Σαρκώματος στην Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας. Παράλληλα, συνεχίζοντας αμείωτα το ακαδημαϊκό, ερευνητικό και επιστημονικό του έργο, έλαβε το 2021 τον Τίτλο του Τακτικού Καθηγητή Χειρουργικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Χαϊδελβέργης, όντας ο νεότερος σε ηλικία χειρουργός που λαμβάνει αυτόν τον τίτλο.

Πρόσφατα, εκλέχθηκε Τακτικός Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου .

Dr. Napoleon Xirokostas is a board-certified General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Laparoscopic, Robotic, and Oncologic Surgery. Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και μετά το πέρας των σπουδών του μετέβη απευθείας στο εξωτερικό και πραγματοποίησε το σύνολο της ειδικότητας της Χειρουργικής σε ένα από τα πλέον ιστορικά και ονομαστά Πανεπιστήμια της Γερμανίας, την Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική του «Philipps-University Marburg», που αποτελεί κορυφαίο κέντρο αναφοράς στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων και νευροενδοκρινών όγκων. Παράλληλα με την εξειδίκευσή του στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων, παρακολούθησε το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, με αντικείμενο τη Στατιστική και Αναλυτική Βιοϊατρικών Δεδομένων (Health Statistics and Data Analytics), το οποίο και ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα, αποκτώντας τον τίτλο Master of Science (MSc). She completed her rural service at the General Hospital of Messinia – Kyparissia Nursing Unit in 2013–2014. In 2021, she obtained her surgical specialty certification.

During her specialty training, she served at the 417 Army Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S), where she specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery for malignant colon diseases, obesity, reflux, and hernias, as well as thyroid malignancies. Additionally, at the Sismanogleio General Hospital of Athens, she participated in a large volume of colon and thyroid cancer surgeries. He holds a medical degree ("Diploma de Licensa," Diploma of License MD) from the "Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie GR T POPA" Medical School and has obtained professional licenses to practice in Greece, Sweden, Spain, and Romania.
