Mihailidi Konstantina

Mixailidi Konstantina is a Psychologist - Psychotherapist with a private practice in Nea Smyrni. She graduated from the Department of Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and received further training in Clinical Psychopathology at Aeginiteio Hospital. She specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Center for Applied Psychotherapy and Counseling and trained in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy for children and adolescents at the Hellenic Institute of Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, she has attended a seminar on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a third-generation therapy. Recently, her focus has been on Psychodermatology, specifically on skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, melanoma, vitiligo, urticaria, and trichotillomania. Factors that appear to play a decisive role in the manifestation of a skin problem include the interaction of genetic predisposition, the individual's personality, and stress. Indeed, a significant percentage of individuals with dermatological conditions frequently face psychological issues, while social stigma reduces their quality of life. The application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been shown to help patients manage pain and social exclusion, reduce stress, and successfully cope with their skin condition. Regarding her professional experience, she worked during her internship at the Counseling Center as well as at the Substance Abuse Prevention Center of the Municipality of Zografou. Lastly, she worked at Iaso Maternity Hospital providing psychological support to women with pregnancy-related issues, and currently, she collaborates with the Counseling Approach Center "Grami," as well as with the Speech Therapy and Special Treatments Center.
