Kontaksakis Anastasios MD, PhD, FEBO is a Military Ophthalmic Surgeon with a private practice in Chania. He holds a Doctorate from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, is a Consultant at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Crete, and a diplomate of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO). He specialized in cataract microsurgery, refractive surgery for the correction of myopia/astigmatism/hyperopia, pediatric ophthalmology, and intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF agents for the treatment of macular diseases. He completed his specialty at the 1st University Ophthalmology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas". During his career, he served as Consultant at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the 251 Air Force General Hospital and as a collaborator of the Pediatric Ophthalmology department at the Euroclinic Children’s Hospital of Athens.
