Nikitopoulos Georgios is a Pediatric and Adult Ophthalmic Surgeon maintaining private practices in Patissia and Nea Penteli. Ακόμη, τον Μάρτιο του 2018, έλαβε την υποτροφία του καθηγητή Οφθαλμολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Harvard "E. Gragoudas“, αφού κατέλαβε την πρώτη θέση σε πανελλήνιες γραπτές εξετάσεις ανάμεσα στους Έλληνες ειδικευόμενους Οφθαλμολογίας, και παρακολούθησε στις ΗΠΑ το ‘’Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology’’,το οποίο διοργανώνεται από το Harvard Medical School και το Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Εν συνεχεία, το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2019-2020, εξειδικεύτηκε στον τομέα της Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας (διάρκεια Fellowship 1 έτος) ως προσκεκλημένος Neuro-Ophthalmology International Fellow στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Harvard, στο νοσοκομείο Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, στην Βοστώνη των ΗΠΑ, υπό την καθοδήγηση των παγκοσμίου φήμης καθηγητών Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard, Dr Joseph Rizzo III και Dr Dean Cestari. Κατά την παραμονή του στις ΗΠΑ, o κος Σαϊτάκης συμμετείχε με εργασίες στο Συνέδριο Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας της Βορείου Αμερικής (NANOS) και ανέλαβε ερευνητικά projects στο πεδίο της νευρο-οφθαλμολογικής προσβολής στην ‘’IgG4-related disease’’, συνεργαζόμενος με τον φημισμένο καθηγητή Ρευματολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Harvard, Dr John Stone. Είναι κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος (MSc) «Οπτική και Όραση» του Βαρδινογιάννειου Εργαστηρίου Μεταμοσχεύσεων και Μικροχειρουργικής του Οφθαλμού (IVO) και της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης, αποφοιτώντας από το διετές πρόγραμμα με τον υψηλότερο βαθμό. Είναι, ακόμα, κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος (MSc) «Διοίκηση Υπηρεσιών Υγείας και Διαχείριση Κρίσεων» του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου (2017). Κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2013-2014, εκπαιδεύτηκε στον τομέα της Γενικής Οφθαλμολογίας στην Οφθαλμολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Ludwig-Maximilian’s (L.M.U.), Μόναχο της Γερμανίας. Εργάστηκε, επίσης, ως Ερευνητικός και κλινικός συνεργάτης στο Ελληνικό ΄Ίδρυμα Υγείας (Hellenic Health Foundation) υπό την εποπτεία της Καθηγήτριας των Πανεπιστημίων Αθηνών και Harvard κας Αντωνίας Τριχοπούλου στα προγράμματα ‘’Consortium on Health and Ageing: Netwotk of Cohorts in Europe and the United States” και ‘’Υδρία’’. Eίναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της Διεθνούς Εταιρείας Έρευνας της Αλληλεπίδρασης Ψυχικών και Σωματικών Νοσημάτων. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε σημαντικό αριθμό ξένων και ελληνικών συνεδρίων, καθώς και ξενόγλωσσων και ελληνικών δημοσιεύσεων. Τέλος, διατελεί Διευθυντής του τμήματος Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας στο Athens Eye Hospital.
