Spanou Euaggelia MD is a Gastroenterologist with a private practice in Nea Ionia. She is a graduate and PhD candidate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Sioulas Athanasios MD, PhD, FEBGH is a Gastroenterologist with a private practice in Chalandri. Gastroenterologist – Hepatologist M.D.

I am Alexandros Spyrantis, Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist M.D., with a private practice in Ilioupoli, Athens. I am also a Gastroenterologist Associate at the 1st Department of Gastroenterology and Interventional Endoscopy at IASO General Clinic.

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Latvia in Riga and subsequently completed my specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Greece. My specialist training included the Hepato-Gastroenterology Department of G.O.N.K. “Agioi Anargyroi”, as well as clinical training at the Gastroenterology Department of General Hospital of Nikaia “Agios Panteleimon”. Prior to specialising in Gastroenterology, I trained in Internal Medicine, gaining broad clinical experience in the overall assessment and management of patients.

Gastrointestinal endoscopy is a particular area of professional interest. I have completed the Hellenic Gastroenterology Society’s Endoscopy School and have participated in hands-on training in invasive endoscopic techniques. I also regularly participate in scientific conferences and educational programmes in Greece and abroad, with a focus on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy.

In my clinical practice, I assess and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, indigestion, gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection, peptic ulcer disease, abdominal pain, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhoea and changes in bowel habits. I also evaluate gastrointestinal bleeding, colorectal polyps, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as liver and biliary disorders.

I place particular emphasis on careful history-taking and a structured diagnostic approach. I believe that patients should clearly understand what may be causing their symptoms, why a particular investigation is recommended and what the next steps should be.

For this reason, I aim to give each patient sufficient time to discuss their symptoms, concerns and expectations. I explain the diagnosis and available treatment options in clear and understandable terms, while tailoring the medical approach to each individual patient.

My approach combines current medical knowledge with personalised care. I believe that effective medical care should take into account not only the clinical findings and scientific evidence, but also the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.

Alongside my clinical work, I maintain an active interest in medical research and continuing professional education. I have participated in scientific studies, presentations and posters at Greek and international conferences, with topics including inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, gastrointestinal endoscopy and a range of gastrointestinal conditions.

Kyriakos Nikolaos MD, PhD is a Gastroenterologist with a private practice in Ampelokipoi. He holds a doctorate from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a dissertation focused on wireless capsule endoscopy of the small intestine. Από το 2019 ξεκίνησε τις ενδοσκοπικές εφημερίες επείγουσας γαστρεντερολογίας παίδων και ενηλίκων, στο πλαίσιο των οποίων απέκτησε μεγάλη εμπειρία στην αντιμετώπιση επειγόντων περιστατικών σε ενήλικες (αιμορραγία ανώτερου και κατώτερου πεπτικού, στάση βλωμού, παραλυτικός ειλεός από κοπρόσταση, χολαγγειίτιδα), αλλά και σε βρέφη – παιδιά (αιμορραγία ανώτερου και κατώτερου πεπτικού, στάση βλωμού, κατάποση ξένου σώματος).Παράλληλα, συνεργάστηκε με τον διευθυντή της κλινικής, καθηγητή Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Heiner Wedemeyer, παγκόσμιας φήμης και αναγνώρισης καθηγητή ηπατολογίας, ως βασική εκπρόσωπος – συνεργάτις του στα προσωπικά του εξωτερικά ιατρεία ηπατολογίας.Στα ανεξάρτητα εξωτερικά ιατρεία του πανεπιστημίου εργάστηκε πολυετώς, ασχολούμενη κυρίως με ηπατολογικά περιστατικά, καθώς και με φλεγμονώδεις νόσους του εντέρου και με μεταμοσχευμένους ήπατος.Στο διδακτικό της έργο περιλαμβάνεται η θεωρητική και πρακτική εκπαίδευση των φοιτητών της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου του Έσσεν και των ειδικευομένων στη Γαστρεντερολογία.Με αυτά τα εφόδια, εξειδικεύτηκε για δύο ακόμη χρόνια στο καθολικό κρατικό νοσοκομείο του Έσσεν, Huyssenstift, κέντρο αναφοράς γενικής χειρουργικής και ογκολογίας, σε βαριές επεμβατικές ενδοσκοπικές πράξεις όπως ERCP και EUS.Στο ακαδημαϊκό της έργο, πέρα από τη διδακτορική της διατριβή στις ιογενείς ηπατίτιδες, συγκαταλέγονται αρκετές δημοσιεύσεις, κυρίως στον τομέα της ηπατολογίας (με βράβευση εργασίας σε πανγερμανικό συνέδριο), καθώς και η συμμετοχή σε πολυκεντρικές μελέτες.Αποτελεί τακτικό μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Εταιρείας Γαστρεντερολογικής Ενδοσκόπησης (ESGE), της Γερμανικής Εταιρείας Γαστρεντερολογίας και Μεταβολικών Νοσημάτων (DGVS), της Ελληνικής Γαστρεντερολογικής Εταιρείας (ΕΓΕ) και της Επαγγελματικής Ένωσης Γαστρεντερολόγων Ελλάδος (ΕΠΕΓΕ).Συμμετέχει όλα αυτά τα χρόνια σε διεθνή επιστημονικά συνέδρια που αφορούν τη Γαστρεντερολογία και την Ηπατολογία, και ιδιαίτερα το επεμβατικό τους μέρος.Από το καλοκαίρι του 2023, ύστερα από υπερδεκαετή παραμονή στη Γερμανία, επιστρέφει στη γενέτειρά της, δραστηριοποιούμενη στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Αθηνών με τον τίτλο της Αναπληρώτριας Διευθύντριας της Β΄ Γαστρεντερολογικής Κλινικής, ενώ συνεργάζεται και με την Κλινική του Ψυχικού.Προς διατήρηση των ακαδημαϊκών της δραστηριοτήτων,συνεργάζεται επίσης με την πανεπιστημιακή κλινική του Λαϊκού Νοσοκομείου ως εξωτερική συνεργάτης.

Dr. Papafragkakis Xarilaos is a Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist - Interventional Endoscopist and maintains a private practice in Kolonaki. He has been fully trained in the USA. He holds a medical degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and specialized in Gastroenterology at the Brooklyn Hospital Center of Mount Sinai - Icahn School of Medicine in New York. He specialized in Interventional Endoscopy at the MD Anderson Cancer Center Hospital of the University of Texas and in Hepatology at the University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Additionally, he holds a specialty in Internal Medicine from the University of Illinois in Chicago and possesses certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Papafragkakis is the author of numerous publications in scientific journals and has extensive academic teaching experience. He is a scientific collaborator and performs endoscopies at the Euroclinic Athens Hospital in Ampelokipoi.

Grammenos Ioannis is a Gastroenterologist who maintains a private practice in Nea Ionia. Simultaneously, he serves as a Specialist Scientific Collaborator at the Central Clinic of the Athens Medical Center. He graduated with honors from the Medical School of the University of Rome and specialized in Gastroenterology - Hepatology at the 2nd Internal Medicine Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos." Furthermore, he holds a PhD with a dissertation titled "The absorption of fructose and sorbitol in normolactasic and hypolactasic healthy adults." He also has a notable research portfolio with scientific publications in conferences and scientific journals. Finally, the doctor has participated in numerous medical conferences both in Greece and abroad.
