Manta Georgia

Manta Georgia is an Ophthalmologist - Pediatric Ophthalmologist with a private practice in Pangrati since 2012. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras, where she was admitted through national exams, ranking 2nd in order of success. She specialized in Ophthalmology at the State Ophthalmology Clinic of the General State Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas" and in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Children's General Hospital "Agia Sofia." She holds a PhD (2010) and a Master's degree (2006) from the Medical School of the University of Patras. She pursued further training at the University Ophthalmology Clinic of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich in the fields of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Retinal Pathology in children and adults. Recently, as part of continuous scientific education, she attended the Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology department as well as the Cornea department at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. She is a scientific associate of the Ophthalmology Department at IASO Children’s Hospital and IASO Maternity Hospital for the preventive ophthalmic examination of newborns. For surgeries and adult diseases, the ophthalmologist collaborates with private ophthalmology clinics. The practice is contracted with the Ministry of Transportation for issuing driver's license certificates and provides electronic prescribing of medications and glasses. Finally, the doctor accepts cases from infants.
