Yfanti Marianthi is a Specialist Rheumatologist and maintains a private practice in Patras. She holds a medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Patras (2015). Subsequently, she completed rural service at the Krestena Health Center. She specialized in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at St. Anna Hospital in Herne under Professor Prof. Dr. med. K. Kisters and at the University Hospital of Bochum, Rheumazentrum Ruhrgebiet in Germany, under Professor Prof. Dr. med J. Braun and later under Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Xenofon Baraliakos. After obtaining her specialist qualification, she continued working as a specialist Rheumatologist at the Rheumazentrum Ruhrgebiet, the largest rheumatology center in Germany (148 beds and 36,200 patients in outpatient clinics and hospitalized annually), a world reference center for axial spondyloarthritis/ankylosing spondylitis and a recognized center of excellence by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR Centre of Excellence). During her work in Germany, she trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound and capillaroscopy. She is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Medicine at the University of Bochum.
