Anna Kamperou is a certified art psychotherapist with experience in schools, inpatient mental health services, and private practice, working with children, adolescents, and adults. She offers psychotherapy or art psychotherapy sessions.
In the therapeutic process, she emphasizes building a relationship of trust and honesty. She supports clients in connecting with their intuition and rediscovering their capacity for play and creativity. She provides a warm, safe, and non-judgmental environment where they can explore current difficulties together and reflect on how they would like their inner world and relationships to evolve. Her approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, with an emphasis on how past experiences continue to shape us in the present.
She works with a wide range of mental health issues. Her experience includes, among others, supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, social oppression, as well as individuals with a history of childhood trauma and/or neglect.
She holds a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Prior to training as an art therapist, she worked for ten years in non-profit organizations in Greece and Scotland, with a steadfast commitment to human rights and social justice. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT), and the European Federation of Art Therapy (EFAT).
