Παράλληλα συνεργάζεται με ιδιωτικές κλινικές της Αθήνας, πραγματοποιώντας επεμβάσεις καταρράκτη και διαθλαστικής χειρουργικής.

Η ιδιαίτερη εξειδίκευσή του στην παιδοοφθαλμολογία περιλαμβάνει την αντιμετώπιση στραβισμού, αμβλυωπίας και άλλων διαταραχών της παιδικής όρασης.

Στο πλαίσιο της διδακτορικής του διατριβής ασχολήθηκε για αρκετά χρόνια με τις παθήσεις της ωχράς κηλίδας σε ενήλικες, μελετώντας την κλινική πορεία των ασθενών, εφαρμόζοντας ενδοϋαλοειδικές ενέσεις και παρακολουθώντας τα θεραπευτικά αποτελέσματα.

Tsoumpris Ioannis MD, FEBO is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with a private practice in Glyfada. He is also a scientific associate at the Macular Institute and at the Modern Medifirst Polyclinics of Alimos. He holds the European Diploma in Ophthalmology "Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology." He enrolled in 1985 and graduated in 1991 from the Medical School of the University of Athens with honors.
