Ο Dr med Μπενέτος Γεώργιος MD, MSc, PhD, FESC είναι Καρδιολόγος και Διδάκτωρ του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στους Αμπελόκηπους. Για την ερευνητική του δραστηριότητα έχει λάβει σημαντικές υποτροφίες από καταξιωμένες επιστημονικές εταιρείες: το Ελληνικό Ίδρυμα Καρδιολογίας (ΕΛΙΚΑΡ) για διδακτορική έρευνα και την Ελληνική Καρδιολογική Εταιρεία για μετεκπαίδευση σε αναγνωρισμένου κύρους κέντρο εξωτερικού. Μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στην Κλινική Πυρηνικής Ιατρικής του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου Ζυρίχης (USZ) σε μη επεμβατικές τεχνικές καρδιαγγειακής απεικόνισης και συγκεκριμένα στην αξονική στεφανιογραφία, το σπινθηρογράφημα και PET καρδιάς (τομογραφία εκπομπής ποζιτρονίων) και σε τεχνικές υβριδικής απεικόνισης/συγκερασμού τεχνικών. Παράλληλα, στο πλαίσιο της μετεκπαίδευσής του και της εκεί ερευνητικής του δραστηριότητας, ανακηρύχτηκε το 2021 Διδάκτορας της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου της Ζυρίχης. Του έχει απονεμηθεί η ανώτατη πιστοποίηση επάρκειας για την εκτέλεση αξονικών καρδιάς από την Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Καρδιαγγειακής Απεικόνισης (EACVI level 3 accreditation) και την Αμερικανική Εταιρεία Αξονικών Καρδιάς (SCCT level 3 accreditation). Είναι συγγραφέας περισσότερων των 55 επιστημονικών εργασιών δημοσιευμένων σε έγκριτα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά (European Heart Journal, JACC Cardiovascular Interventions, Stroke, Atherosclerosis, International Journal of Cardiology κ.ά.).Παράλληλα, έχει παρουσιάσει πληθώρα (περισσότερες των 100) επιστημονικών εργασιών του στα μεγαλύτερα ευρωπαϊκά και διεθνή καρδιολογικά συνέδρια, ενώ επιστημονικές του εργασίες έχουν διακριθεί με διεθνή βραβεία. Τέλος, είναι συνεργαζόμενος κριτής σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά (Atherosclerosis Thrombosis & Vascular Biology, International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, Angiology κ.ά.) και έχει συμμετάσχει ως προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε μεγάλο αριθμό συνεδρίων εσωτερικού και εξωτερικού.

Giannoulis Euaggelos is a Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Agios Dimitrios.
