Ο Χρήστος Κατσούλης είναι Στρατιωτικός Ιατρός, Ειδικός Παθολόγος - Διαβητολόγος. Είναι απόφοιτος του Ιατρικού τμήματος της Στρατιωτικής Σχολή Αξιωματικών Σωμάτων (ΣΣΑΣ) στην οποία εισήχθη το 1986 έπειτα από πανελλαδικές εξετάσεις, ενώ ταυτόχρονα σπούδασε στο Ιατρικό Τμήμα της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης από όπου και έλαβε το πτυχίο του το 1992, αποφοιτώντας ταυτόχρονα από τη ΣΣΑΣ.
