Genetzaki Sotiria MD, MSc, PhD is an Otolaryngologist Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Agios Dimitrios. She is a scientific associate at the Athens Medical Center.
She is a graduate and Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Alongside her professional engagement, she has developed a particular scientific and academic interest in Rhinology and Olfactory & Gustatory Disorders. Her dissertation focuses on post-infectious olfactory disorders and their management.
She holds a postgraduate diploma from the University of Patras in "Nasal Diseases, Skull Base and Facial Region." She collaborates with the Olfaction - Taste Department of the University ENT Clinic at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "Papageorgiou," where she participates as a researcher in European research protocols related to the treatment of anosmia and hyposmia.
She has trained at European Reference Centers for Olfactory and Gustatory Disorders, specifically at the University Clinic of Geneva (2019), Unité de Rhinologie et d' Olfactologie (Prof. Basile Landis), as well as at the University Clinic of Dresden, Interdisciplinary Center for Smell and Taste (Prof. Thomas Hummel). At her private practice located at 14 Ptolemaiou Street in Agios Dimitrios, she provides specialized services for the diagnosis and treatment of ENT cases.
At her clinic, she conducts comprehensive examinations using flexible and rigid video-endoscopes, olfactory assessment through smell tests, taste evaluation, ear examination with a microscope, tympanometry, audiometry, vertigo and tinnitus assessment, voice and swallowing disorders evaluation, snoring examination, and other conditions within the scope of ENT specialty. Additionally, she performs surgery and collaborates with renowned private hospitals in Athens.
