Η πτυχιακή της εργασία είχε ως θέμα την «Εκτίμηση της διατροφικής πρόσληψης και των διατροφικών συνηθειών των εφήβων στον ανατολικό τομέα της Θεσσαλονίκης» και βαθμολογήθηκε με Άριστα 10. Η ενασχόληση της με τη διατροφή των εφήβων την έκανε να ενδιαφερθεί παραπάνω για την Παιδική Παχυσαρκία, γι’αυτό και συμμετείχε εθελοντικά στο πρόγραμμα COSI του Παγκόσμιου Οργανισμού Υγείας (WHO) , μια πρωτοβουλία για την παρακολούθηση και επιτήρηση της Ευρωπαϊκής Παιδικής Παχυσαρκίας.
