Cardiologists

Christina Rogakou is a Cardiologist specialized in congenital heart disease in both children and adults, as well as in interventional cardiology. She has extensive clinical experience in specialized cardiology centers in Germany and Greece and holds a PhD from Heidelberg University, with her research focusing on out-of-hospital resuscitation by laypersons.

She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras and obtained her cardiology specialization in 2017, having completed her residency at the Duisburg Cardiology Center in Germany. She then worked there as a Senior Registrar and, from 2020 to 2023, served as Head of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Unit. She has also received additional training in pediatric cardiology and structural heart diseases through postgraduate programs at the University of Münster.

Since 2023, she has been collaborating with the Pediatric Cardiology Department of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center in Athens, while also working with Hygeia Hospital and Euroclinic Athens. She is a member of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, the German Society of Cardiology, the German Society for Pediatric Cardiology, and the German Resuscitation Council. She speaks fluent Greek, German, and English.

Dr. Savvopoulou Gkolfo is a Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Patras. She graduated from the Medical School of Athens and obtained her cardiology specialty title from the University Clinic of the University General Hospital of Patras. Concurrently, she participated in clinical studies and protocols conducted during her specialization. She consistently participates in Greek and international conferences with the aim of continuously updating her knowledge on current developments and the latest data and practices in the application of cardiology. She has served as a physician in public insurance funds with private contracts (OPAD-OAEE, etc.) and has participated for several years in committees for granting pensions and disability benefits. In her private practice, she manages a wide range of cases, leveraging her scientific expertise and many years of experience, always focusing on providing the best possible care tailored to the individual needs of each patient she treats.

Mygias Georgios is a Specialist Cardiologist and maintains a private practice in Keratsini. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Sofia and trained in the Department of Pathology at the Military Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S.). He specialized in Cardiology at the "Alexandra" University Hospital of Athens, where he serves as a Scientific Collaborator. Additionally, he is an affiliated physician at Doctors’ Hospital Clinic, City Clinic, and the Bioiatriki Group. Deligiannis Georgios MD, MSc is a Specialist Cardiologist with specialized knowledge and experience in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular diseases. He maintains a private practice in Chalandri. He is an associate at the Marousi Medical Center, in the Electrophysiology and Pacemaker Laboratory, with a particular focus on arrhythmias and implantable devices.

He completed his specialty training at the 1st University Cardiological Clinic of the General Hospital of Thessaloniki AHEPA, and he is a graduate of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds a Master's degree from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly, specializing in ultrasound and functional imaging for the prevention and diagnosis of vascular diseases.

He has specialized in the latest cardiac ultrasound techniques (transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, Doppler, 3D, Stress echo) at the General Hospital of Athens "Korgialeneio - Benakeio".

He has a particular scientific interest in the latest echocardiographic techniques, arrhythmias, and pacing, providing modern and personalized services aimed at optimal patient care.

Ο Κάββουρας Χαράλαμπος M.D, Msc, PhD, FSCAI είναι Επεμβατικός Καρδιολόγος- Παιδοκαρδιολόγος εξειδικευθείς στην Παιδοκαρδιολογία και στις Συγγενείς Καρδιοπάθειες Ενηλίκων-Παίδων στο Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου καθώς και στην Επεμβατική Καρδιολογία στο University Hospital Toronto, Peter Munk Cardiac Center στον Καναδά. Διατηρεί το ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο στο Κολωνάκι. Ο ιατρός αποφοίτησε από το πανεπιστήμιο του PECS στην Ουγγαρία, είναι κάτοχος MSc Kαρδιακή Aνεπάρκεια από το Imperial College και Διδάκτωρ του Πανεπιστήμιου Αθηνών με θέμα σχετικό με την Επεμβατική Καρδιολογία και τις Συγγενείς Καρδιοπάθειες. Ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητα της Καρδιολογίας στο Β΄ Καρδιολογικό τμήμα του νοσοκομείου Ευαγγελισμός. Ακολούθως υπήρξε εκπαιδευόμενος στην Επεμβατική Καρδιολογία στο Αιμοδυναμικό εργαστήριο του ίδιου νοσοκομείου. Εν συνεχεία και με υποτροφία της Ελληνικής Καρδιολογικής Εταιρίας, ξεκίνησε την εκπαίδευση του στις Συγγενείς καρδιοπάθειες και στην Πνευμονική Υπέρταση Ενηλίκων και Παίδων αρχικά στο Πανεπιστημιακό νοσοκομείο του MANCHESTER και κατόπιν στο ROYAL BROMPTON HOSPITAL. Αμέσως μετά και επι διετία συνέχισε την εκπαίδευση του στο ROYAL BROMPTON HOSPITAL στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο στις Συγγενείς καρδιόπαθειες και την πνευμονική υπέρταση ενώ εξειδικεύτηκε περαιτέρω και στην Υπερηχογραφία των συγγενών καρδιοπαθειών και στην Δυναμική υπερηχογραφία (Stress echo). Κατά την εκπαίδευση του στις συγγενείς καρδιόπαθειες πραγματοποίησε πάνω από 1500 υπερηχογραφήματα καρδιάς σε ασθενείς με συγγενή καρδιοπάθεια και πνευμονική υπέρταση ενώ έκανε περισσότερους από 200 δεξιούς καθετηριασμούς σε ασθενείς με πνευμονική υπέρταση. Κατοπιν εκπαιδεύτηκε στην επεμβατική καρδιολογία στο Πανεπιστημιακό νοσοκομείο του Τορόντο (Peter Munk Cardiac Center) όπου πραγματοποίησε πάνω από 1000 στεφανιογραφίες και 300 αγγειοιοπλαστικές. Ο ιατρός διετέλεσε Επιμελητής στο τμήμα συγγενών καρδιοπαθειών στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Liverpool ενώ τα τελευταία χρόνια διατελεί Επιμελητής στο Τμήμα Συγγενών Καρδιοπαθειών και Παιδοκαρδιολογίας στο Νοσοκομείο ΜΗΤΕΡΑ κι είναι επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης της Καρδιολογικής Κλινικής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και του 251 Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αεροπορίας. Τέλος, έχει στο ενεργητικό του πλήθος Δημοσιεύσεων καθώς και Προφορικών ομιλιών και ανακοινώσεων σε διεθνή καρδιολογικά συνέδρια.

Το Σύγχρονο ΑγγειοΚαρδιολογικό Κέντρο του ιατρού Παπαμιχαήλ Ανδρέα αποτελεί ένα από τα καλύτερα και αρτιότερα εξοπλισμένα ΑγγειοΚαρδιολογικά κέντρα στην Ελλάδα. Το 1986 ξεκίνησε να λειτουργεί σε ένα μικρό χώρο στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Έκτοτε και μέχρι σήμερα, επεκτάθηκε και με τη διαρκή ανανέωση και επέκταση του εξοπλισμού του βρίσκεται στην αιχμή της ιατρικής τεχνολογίας.

 Είναι το πρώτο Ιατρικό Κέντρο στην Ελλάδα που παρέχει τον θεραπευτικό συνδυασμό χειρουργικής θεραπείας, θεραπείας σκληρυντικών ενέσεων και PhotoDerm, όπου είναι ο πληρέστερος στην εκτίμηση και θεραπεία των φλεβικών παθήσεων, όπου και ειδικεύεται.

Paulidis Paulos is a Cardiologist. He obtained his specialty in Cardiology at the Cardiology Department of the Hippocrateion Hospital in Athens. He completed further training at the echocardiography laboratory of the cardiology clinic at the University Hospital of Zurich. He has participated in studies presented at Greek and international conferences, published in Greek and international scientific journals, and has spoken at conferences and training programs for residents. He considers clinical experience and thorough scientific training of the physician as the most important factors in patient care. With a patient-centered approach and a focus on compassionate care, he manages conditions across the full spectrum of cardiology and provides specialized services tailored to the needs of each patient. The doctor conducts scheduled home visits with the capability to perform echocardiographic studies (heart triplex) using a modern portable device, as well as electrocardiograms and Holter monitoring.

Karanikas Stauros is a Cardiologist who maintains a private practice in Ilisia. After completing his medical studies, he specialized in Cardiology at Konstadopouleio General Hospital (Agia Olga). Additionally, he pursued postgraduate studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specialized in cardiac pacing and heart failure at Lewisham University Hospital, Lewisham & Greenwich Trust in London, where he also worked as a Consultant Cardiologist. He has extensive clinical experience and served as a Consultant Cardiologist in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit of the Onassis Cardiothoracic Surgery Center. He currently works as a Consultant in the Electrophysiology - Pacemaker Implantation Laboratory and the Adult Cardiology Clinic at Mitera Hospital (Hygeia Group).

Stathogiannis Euaggelos is a Cardiologist and Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of Athens, with a private practice in Koukaki. He graduated from the Military Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Subsequently, he specialized in Pathology and Cardiology at the Hippocrates General Hospital of Athens and received further training in Cardiology at HARVARD MGH Hospital in Boston, USA. He has many years of experience in Cardiology, having worked at the American Hospital of Mon Belgium as well as serving as Director of the Cardiology Clinic at the 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital and later as Hospital Director. Finally, he established the Municipal Polyclinic of the Papagou municipality and upgraded the Municipal Polyclinic of the Cholargos municipality.

Parparas Konstantinos is a Cardiologist with a private practice in Thessaloniki. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in clinics in Germany. He has substantial experience, having worked as a Cardiologist Consultant in major German clinics. He specializes in interventional cardiology and has been performing angioplasties in coronary arteries since 2014 to the present (performing several thousand angioplasties, including many of high complexity, e.g., in left main coronary artery stenosis, Rotablation procedures), and since 2020, he has also been involved in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).

Dr Gkonteva Maria is a Specialist Cardiologist - Military Physician with a private practice in Korydallos. She graduated from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace. She completed a 2-year residency in Internal Medicine at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, followed by a 4-year cardiology specialty training at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center. Furthermore, she is a member of the Special Corps of Physicians of KEPA. She examines adults and children over 6 years old. Lastly, Dr. Gkonteva participates in the National Program for the prevention and management of cardiovascular risks.

Ioannis Kexagioglou is a Cardiologist and maintains a private practice in Cholargos.
