Xristodoulidis Mixail X. MD is an Ophthalmologist who has maintained a private practice in Cholargos since 1997. He is a graduate of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his specialization in Ophthalmology. He possesses extensive experience and expertise, having collaborated with public and private clinics for approximately 20 years. Currently, he serves as the scientific director of the Ophthalmology Department at "Hygeia" Hospital and is a collaborator at the Athens Ophthalmology Institute (OMMA) and the Athenian MediClinic. He was the Director of the Ophthalmology Department at Euroclinic Athens for 12 years. He operates at Hygeia Hospital, Athens Mediclinic, the "Mitera" clinic, and is a selected collaborating ophthalmic surgeon with Medisystem.
Simultaneously, he specializes in anterior segment eye surgery, cataract removal through a microscopic incision without sutures and with topical anesthesia (phacoemulsification), and correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism using femtosecond laser (LASIK) and PRK. Additionally, he has specialized expertise in the removal of eyelid formations (chalazion, pterygium, nodules, xanthelasma) and foreign bodies from the anterior segment, contact lens fitting for myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, as well as multifocal contact lenses, and anti-VEGF factor injections.
Finally, he is a member of the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society, the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Lens and Refractive Surgery, the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He also participates in national and international ophthalmological conferences and advanced training seminars abroad, aiming to stay fully informed on the latest surgical and technological advancements in ophthalmology.
