Karatzoglou Ioannis MD, MSc, PhD is a Gastroenterologist with private practices in Evosmos, Kalamaria, Giannitsa, and Charilaou, Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Gastroenterology at the AHEPA University Hospital of Thessaloniki. He further specialized at McMaster University Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and subsequently worked as an assistant consultant at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis. Additionally, he specialized in interventional endoscopy at Bath Hospital, England, UK, and later moved to Chelsea and Westminster University Hospital in London, where he has since worked as a permanent endoscopist in the state-of-the-art Endoscopy Department, performing numerous interventional endoscopic procedures. He has also completed his doctoral dissertation on inflammatory bowel diseases, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, with the results of his dissertation expected to be published in the reputable international journal World Journal of Gastroenterology. He holds a postgraduate diploma in health unit management from the Hellenic Open University. Finally, he is a scientific collaborator of the Blue Cross Clinic in Thessaloniki, where he performs his procedures in collaboration with an experienced team of anesthesiologists, ensuring painless endoscopy and the highest possible safety and quality in endoscopic practice.
