Mousiolis Dimitris MD, MSc, cPhD is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Ilion and Director at Metropolitan General. He graduated with honors as a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds two specialty qualifications (double specialty), one in General Surgery (Athens), and the other in Laparoscopic Surgery of the Digestive System and Endocrine Glands, following further training at the University Hospital of Tampere, Finland. He has received additional training at leading international centers in laparoscopic surgery and thyroid/parathyroid surgery, including the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, UMC Utrecht in the Netherlands, and Rudolfstiftung in Vienna. He underwent advanced training in modern minimally invasive Laser techniques at the Tor Vergata University Hospital in Rome. He is certified in advanced laparoscopic surgery by IRCAD France in Strasbourg. He is a member of numerous Greek and international surgical scientific societies and the American College of Surgeons.
