He has also been trained in the removal of cardiac devices. Dimitrios Gerontitis is an Accredited Specialist in the Interventional Treatment of Arrhythmias (Interventional Electrophysiology - ECES and Cardiac Devices - ECDS) by the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). He has also been certified by the British Society of Echocardiography in Transthoracic Echocardiography and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (RCP). He has organized training sessions for cardiology residents and was responsible for organizing "EP traces" at Wessex Deanery. He has completed the post-graduate module "Teaching and Learning in Medical Education" at University College London.
