Σήμερα εργάζεται ως Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Καρδιολογίας - Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας στην Α’ Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και είναι υπεύθυνη της Μονάδας Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας από το έτος 2006. Το Ιατρειο Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας έχει λάβει πιστοποίηση Αριστείας από την HFA-ESC Specialised Quality of Care Centre (QCC). Επίσης η κ. Χρυσοχόου είναι υπέυθυνη του Ιατρείου Καρδιαγγειακής Απεικόνισης Εξωτερικών ασθενών και της καρδιοαναπευστικής κόπωσης. Έχει δώσει περισσότερες από 1500 προσκεκλημένες διαλέξεις σε ελληνικά και διεθνή συνέδρια. Αναφορικά με το συγγραφικό της έργο, είναι συγγραφέας περισσότερων απο 480 άρθρων δημοσι­ευμένων σε έγκριτα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές με υψηλό συντελεστή απήχησης. Το αντικείμενο της έρευνας της έχει ως θέμα την κλινική καρδιολογία, και ειδικότερα την καρδιακή ανεπάρκεια και την ανάδειξη παραγόντων κινδύνου εμφάνισης της, καθώς και την καρδιακή απεικόνιση. Αναφορικά με το διοικητικό της έργο, είναι εκλεγμένο μέλος του πυρήνα διοίκησης του European Association of Preventive Cardiology|Population Health και μέλος της Επιτροπής διαμόρφωσης θεραπευτικών πρωροκόλλων του Υπουργείου Υγείας (από το 2016). Για το επιστημονικό της έργο έχει λάβει τιμητικές αναφορές και βραβεύσεις από διεθνή συνέδρια και οργανισμούς. Εχει αναγνωριστεί στη 10η θέση στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο «Καρδιολογία» στην Ελλάδα, #56 στην Ευρώπη, και στην 118η στον Κόσμο (World Scientist and University Rankings 2024).
