Karamanou Aleksandra is a Cardiologist and PhD holder from the University of Athens, with a private practice in Agios Dimitrios, actively engaged in the full spectrum of cardiology. She holds a degree from the Medical School and a postgraduate diploma in Thrombosis and Hemorrhage – Transfusion Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, she completed a one-year fellowship in Hepatology, specifically in Chronic Liver Diseases, at the "Migliavacca" Liver Center of the University of Milan in Italy. Previously, she taught Neurology and Psychiatry to students of the Nursing and Emergency Care Department at the public IEK Piraeus as well as First Aid courses for first-year medical students as part of the First Aid curriculum. Beyond teaching, she worked for a year as a physician in a dermatology clinic, participating in interventional and clinical procedures, served as a rural doctor at the peripheral clinic in Antikyra, and underwent a three-month training program at the General Prefectural Hospital of Livadeia. He holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is a graduate of the same institution’s Medical School. Additionally, he holds diplomas in Laparoscopic Surgery, Ultrasound, and Ultrasonographic Techniques from the University of Strasbourg, a diploma in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery from Paris XI University, and a diploma in Colorectal and Anal Surgery from Paris Diderot - Paris VII University. It is also noteworthy that he graduated from the Surgical Leadership Program at the Harvard Medical School. He initially specialized at Korgialeneio - Benakeio Hospital of the Hellenic Red Cross and subsequently continued his training at the University of Strasbourg, France, where he later served as Chef de Clinique des Universités.
