Raptis Athanasios is a Pathologist - Diabetologist and maintains private clinics in Athens and Kalyvia Attikis. He is an Emeritus Professor of Pathology - Diabetes Mellitus at the Medical School of the University of Athens (EKPA) and an Associate of the Athens Medical Center (Marousi). He specializes in Diabetes Mellitus (type 1, type 2, gestational, insulin pumps), its complications, arterial hypertension, as well as the entire spectrum of metabolic diseases (dyslipidemia, obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). He was a member of the Diabetology Center of the 2nd Propaedeutic Pathology Clinic of the University of Athens from 1982 to 2024, except for the period of his military service, rural medical practice, and further training. Dr. Pouxner Karolos is a Pathologist and maintains a private practice in Koukaki. He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, in 2005, holding a Master's Degree in "International Health" and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Public Health from the Medical University of Berlin. Additionally, he earned a Doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Freiburg, Germany, in 2010. He has participated in numerous European and international conferences and advanced training programs. Regarding his professional experience, he has many years of teaching experience in adult education, serves as an external lecturer at the Medical University of Berlin, and is a scientific collaborator of the Master's Program "Global Health – Disaster Medicine" at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Recently, he was appointed lead instructor of the "Migration and Health" module in the Master's Program "Public Health and Health Policy" at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
