O Αθανάσιος Ξάκης γεννήθηκε στον Πολύγυρο Χαλκιδικής στις 22 Ιανουαρίου του 1994. Φοίτησε με αθλητική και ακολούθως μαθητική υποτροφία στο λύκειο των Εκπαιδευτηρίων Μαντουλίδη από όπου και τελικώς αποφοίτησε με άριστα το 2011. Κατά τη διάρκεια της μαθητικής του πορείας έλαβε αποδοχές και υποτροφίες για φοίτηση σε διακεκριμένα πανεπιστήμια των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών της Αμερικής και του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. 

Σπούδασε Ιατρική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Ιωαννίνων. Κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών του υπήρξε μέλος του Εργαστηρίου Ανατομίας, υπεύθυνος για την εκπαίδευση και την ένταξη νέων φοιτητών ιατρικής καθώς επίσης συμμετείχε σε πληθώρα σεμιναρίων και παρουσιάσεων σε διεθνή συνέδρια. 

Μετά το πέρας των σπουδών του πραγματοποίησε Κλινική Άσκηση στη Χειρουργική στο Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada στην Yogyakarta της Ινδονησίας καθώς επίσης και Κλινική Άσκηση στην Αγγειοχειρουργική στο University Medical Centre Utrecht στην Ουτρέχτη της Ολλανδίας. 

Εργάστηκε ως ειδικευόμενος Χειρουργικής στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Σερρών για 2 έτη και στη συνέχεια στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης Γ. Παπαγεωργίου για 4 έτη, από όπου και έλαβε τον τίτλο ειδικότητας. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητας του συμμετείχε και σε πληθώρα χειρουργείων ως βοηθός χειρουργός του Τμήματος Χειρουργικής Ήπατος Χοληφόρων-Παγκρέατος της Κλινικής Άγιος Λουκάς, στο Πανόραμα Θεσσαλονίκης. 

Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της ειδικότητας μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στη Χειρουργική Ήπατος, Χοληφόρων, Παγκρέατος & Μεταμοσχεύσεων Ήπατος στο Organ Transplantation Center, China Medical University Hospital στην Taichung της Ταϊβάν. 

Από τον Αύγουστο του 2025 εργάζεται ως Επιμελητής Χειρουργός στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης Γ. Παπανικολάου ενώ παράλληλα αποτελεί Συνεργάτη Χειρουργό της Κλινικής Άγιος Λουκάς. 

Είναι μέλος του Ιατρικού Συλλόγου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΙΣΘ), της European Association for Endoscopic Surgery and other Interventional Techniques (EAES) και της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Τραύματος και Επείγουσας Χειρουργικής (ΕΕΤ&ΕΧ), ενώ υπήρξε και μέλος Οργανωτικών Επιτροπών μεγάλου αριθμού τοπικών και διεθνών Συνεδρίων και Ημερίδων. 

Είναι κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης στη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία του Πεπτικού Συστήματος του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστήμιου Θεσσαλονίκης και υποψήφιος κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης στον Καρκίνο του Παγκρέατος του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας.

Έχει παρακολουθήσει πληθώρα σεμιναρίων και συνεδρίων τόσο διεθνών όσο και του εξωτερικού, έχει παρουσιάσει ως ομιλητής σημαντικό αριθμό προφορικών ανακοινώσεων με αντίστοιχες τιμητικές διακρίσεις και βραβεία ενώ έχει συμμετάσχει και στη δημοσίευση επιστημονικών άρθρων σε διακεκριμένα περιοδικά του εξωτερικού.

Mitsogianni Maria is an Internal Medicine - Oncology Specialist based at YGEIA-MITERA Hospitals in Marousi. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed the postgraduate program "Thoracic Oncology" as well as her doctoral thesis at the same university.

She has worked for 7 years in Germany at Klinikum Oldenburg, Johanniter Krankenhaus Rheinhausen, and Marienhospital Düsseldorf, specializing in the fields of Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. In Greece, she has worked at the Oncology Hospital of Kifisia "Agioi Anargyroi" and served as a collaborator at the Oncology Unit of the "Sotiria" Hospital.

She holds the ESMO Examination Certificate from the European Society for Medical Oncology.

She has attended numerous conferences and educational seminars both in Greece and internationally, has a significant number of international publications, and participates as a lecturer in postgraduate programs at the University of Athens.

Since 2022, she has been a collaborator and Head of Clinical Studies at the 4th Medical Oncology Clinic of DTKA YGEIA and is the attending physician at MITERA Hospital.

Meropouli Antonia MD, PhDC is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Nea Smyrni. She is a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Consultant Surgeon at Metropolitan Hospital, and a scientific associate at various other private hospitals. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras. She specialized in General Surgery, specifically in diseases of the colon and small intestine, esophagus, stomach, liver, biliary tract, pancreas, obesity, thyroid disorders, as well as in the treatment of abdominal wall hernias both laparoscopically and via open surgery, at the 1st Surgical Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University at the General Hospital of Athens "Laiko". Dr. Meropouli has participated in numerous seminars, conferences, and courses in Greece and abroad and has several publications to her name.

Dr. Konstantinos Xydis, BSc, MD, MSc, PhD, is a Radiation Oncologist with many years of experience in Germany, not only in the treatment of malignant diseases but also in the modern application of Low-Dose Radiation Therapy (LDRT) for benign musculoskeletal disorders.

He collaborates with the HYGEIA Hospital (Athens), IASIS – Gavrilakis General Clinic and Evangelisches Krankenhaus Wesel in Germany.

He completed his specialization at Metaxa Oncology Hospital in Greece and at the University Hospital Essen in Germany.

He has served as Senior Consultant (Attending Physician) and Consultant at the University Hospital Essen in Germany and as Director at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Wesel in Germany.

He has extensive experience in radiation therapy for musculoskeletal conditions such as knee and hip osteoarthritis, heel spur, and elbow epicondylitis (tennis/golf elbow).

Dr. Konstantinos Xydis, BSc, MD, MSc, PhD, ist Facharzt für Strahlentherapie und Radioonkologie mit langjähriger Erfahrung in Deutschland – nicht nur in der Behandlung bösartiger Erkrankungen, sondern auch in der modernen Anwendung der Niedrigdosis-Strahlentherapie (Low-Dose Radiation Therapy – LDRT) bei gutartigen Erkrankungen des Bewegungsapparates.

Σε όλη του την καριέρα, ο κ. Θανόπουλος έχει συμμετάσχει σε πάνω από 5.000 χειρουργικές επεμβάσεις, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη λαπαροσκοπική χειρουργική, αποκτώντας εξαιρετική εμπειρία σε ελάχιστα επεμβατικές και ογκολογικές τεχνικές. Ο Ιατρός Διαμαντής Αλέξανδρος MD, MSc (Surgical Oncology), PhD είναι Γενικός χειρουργός και Διευθυντής του τμήματος Χειρουργικής Ανώτερου Πεπτικού - Ήπατος - Χοληφόρων - Παγκρέατος του Ιασώ Θεσσαλίας, όπου διατηρεί ιατρείο εντός της κλινικής. Kyritsis Aleksandros is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Thessaloniki, collaborating with major private clinics in the city. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He specialized in General Surgery at the "General Hospital of Chalkidiki," the 2nd General Hospital of IKA "Panagia," and the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "Agios Pavlos." Subsequently, he participated in the specialized program for Laparoscopic Surgery and minimally invasive surgery of colorectal and anal diseases at the "Research Institute against Digestive Cancer" (IRCAD) and obtained a diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg. He has delivered presentations at international surgical conferences in the United Kingdom and the USA. He remains an active member of the Medical Council of England and a member of the American Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, while periodically continuing to offer his services as a Specialist General Surgeon at the "Manchester Royal Infirmary" hospital in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Ioannis Zouridakis, MD, MSc, is a General Surgeon and Breast Specialist who has maintained a private practice in Korydallos since 1994 and recently within REA Hospital. He is a Scientific Collaborator and a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He earned his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a doctoral thesis completed during his studies. He specialized in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and further specialized in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Montpellier in France. He attended the European Advanced Level Course in Breast Disease Management for Surgeons in Athens and specialized in the treatment of breast diseases at the 6th Oncology Hospital "G. Gennimatas." Subsequently, he specialized in hernia surgery using dual mesh PHS & Prolene 3D Patch at Umberto I Hospital in Italy and also specialized in Minimally Invasive Operating Techniques in Colorectal Surgery. He has worked in numerous hospitals and clinics and has served for many years as the Director of the Surgical Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital. Currently, he works daily as a Surgeon – Laparoscopist – Breast Specialist (Consultant Surgeon) at the General and Maternity Hospital REA, one of the most modern hospitals in Greece. Finally, he has attended and participated in over 100 medical conferences in Greece and abroad.

Oncologist Karagiannis Athanasios, at the Athens Bioclinic, is responsible for the complete design and administration of systemic (intravenous or oral) therapy such as classic chemotherapy and primarily immunotherapy and targeted molecular therapy, based on the results of molecular testing conducted on the tumor of each specific patient, aiming for individualized therapeutic selection in accordance with global guidelines, thus providing patients suffering from cancer access to the latest therapeutic options in immunotherapy and targeted therapy.

He also actively participates in the oncology board, through which decisions are made that determine the overall therapeutic approach to managing a malignant disease. This includes, besides systemic therapy, radiotherapy, surgical removal, and various local treatments (thermal ablation, embolization). The medical team of the oncology board includes physicians from all specialties involved in treating a malignant disease, such as surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, internists, and pathologists, offering a comprehensive assessment of the disease, its treatment, and potential complications during the overall therapeutic course.

In our Oncology Department, numerous patients with lung cancer, stomach and intestinal cancer, pancreatic, liver, and biliary tract cancer, bladder and kidney cancer, and breast cancer are monitored.

Additionally, emphasis is placed on the complex therapeutic management of metastatic and advanced cancers through the simultaneous application of systemic and local therapies (directly to the metastatic site) in collaboration with the specialized interventional radiology department of the Athens Bioclinic. 

Ioanna Papadopoulou is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Cholargos and Glyfada. She performs exclusively laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant conditions of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder and bile ducts, as well as all types of abdominal wall hernias. She received her Medical Degree from the “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi in 2012. She completed her rural service at the General Hospital of Messinia – Kyparissia Nursing Unit in 2013–2014. In 2021, she obtained her surgical specialty certification.

During her specialty training, she served at the 417 Army Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S), where she specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery for malignant colon diseases, obesity, reflux, and hernias, as well as thyroid malignancies. Additionally, at the Sismanogleio General Hospital of Athens, she participated in a large volume of colon and thyroid cancer surgeries. Considering that the present of surgery lies in laparoscopic and robotic techniques, she attended advanced laparoscopic seminars organized by ELPEN under the auspices of the Hellenic Surgical Society from 2016 to 2018.

In 2021, she completed further training in Surgical Oncology, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, in 2023, she received additional training in the latest methods for managing complex diaphragmatic hernias and reflux at the Symposium on Innovation in Surgery in Malta.

Dr. Rathosis Spyros is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Patras. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a PhD from the University of Patras, with a dissertation titled: "Control of splenic activity and immunological effects post-splenectomy." He specialized in General Surgery at the University Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Patras and further specialized in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens, Hippocrates. He has served in all levels of the National Health System (ESY) and for the past years has held the position of ESY Director in the surgical clinic of the General Hospital of Patras. He has participated in numerous medical conferences in Greece and abroad and has published scientific papers in both Greek and international journals. He has been involved in the full spectrum of General Surgery operations, including major surgeries both emergency and elective. Throughout his extensive career, he has focused on laparoscopic surgery primarily of the biliary tract, hernias, diseases of the minor pelvis (gynecological conditions), and surgery of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract (stomach, small and large intestine, anus).

Ziozia Vasiliki is a General Surgeon, Senior Registrar of the 1st Surgical Clinic at IASO and maintains a private practice in Nea Irakleio. She holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master's degree in "Surgical Anatomy" from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dr. Ziozia has received a scholarship from the Hellenic Surgical Society to obtain her postgraduate degree, as well as a scholarship from the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology for specialization in colorectal and anal surgery at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Dr. Ioannis Virlos is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Glyfada. He graduated from the Medical School of Alexandroupolis, Democritus University of Thrace, obtaining his medical degree in 1990. In 2000, he earned a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences (MSc in Surgical Sciences) as well as a Diploma from Imperial College London (Diploma Imperial College), United Kingdom. Since 2011, he has been a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in the field of Colorectal Surgery (FEBS (Coloproctology)).Dr Ioannis Virlos is a specialized colorectal and bariatric surgeon, also trained in minimally invasive surgery — both laparoscopic and robotic. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. Ο Φιστόπουλος Ιωάννης είναι Γενικός Χειρουργός και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Παλαιό Φάληρο. Το 1988 γίνεται δεκτός μετά από εξετάσεις στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Cluz-Napoca στην Ρουμανία (U.M.F. Cluz-Napoca). Μετά την αποφοίτηση του το 1994, ακολουθεί μέσα από μια σειρά εξετάσεων η λήψη άδειας επαγγέλματος κ η λήψη του τίτλου Medicin Docteur (MD). Το 1995 και για δεκαοκτώ μήνες υπηρετεί την στρατιωτική του θητεία ως οπλίτης ιατρός σε Ελληνική Μονάδα του εξωτερικού με καθήκοντα συντονιστή ιατρού του στρατοπέδου και των επιμέρους μονάδων του.
