Georgios Bpagias is a General Surgeon, PhD holder from the Medical School of Athens. He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

In his clinical practice, he manages general surgery cases covering a broad spectrum, from minor procedures and routine laparoscopic surgeries to specialized colorectal and pelvic floor surgeries. He graduated from the Medical School of Alexandroupolis, Democritus University of Thrace, obtaining his medical degree in 1990. In 2000, he earned a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences (MSc in Surgical Sciences) as well as a Diploma from Imperial College London (Diploma Imperial College), United Kingdom. In 2009, he was awarded a Doctorate (Medical Doctorate) from the University of Manchester, UK.He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd.) since 1998 and of the Intercollegiate Board in Surgery of the United Kingdom (FRCS (Gen Surg)) since 2008. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. From 2002 to 2012, he served as a surgical consultant in hospitals in the UK, Australia, Belgium, and Greece. Specifically, he worked at the following hospitals in the UK: North Middlesex, Arrowe Park, Derriford, Torbay, Exeter, Cheltenham, and North Bristol, as well as at Sir Charles Gairdner University Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Sotiria Hospital in Athens (as Senior Consultant).During the same period, he received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, UK, and Heilighart Ziekenhuis in Roeselare, Belgium.From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the following hospitals in the UK: Ealing Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, John Radcliffe & Churchill Hospitals in Oxford, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He returned to Greece in 2021.Since 2023, Mr. Virlos has been the Director of Surgery at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens. He also serves as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology. Finally, for the period 2025–2028, he will represent Greece at the European Society of Coloproctology.

Kelgiorgi Dionysia MD, MSc is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Chalandri. She holds a Master's Degree in "NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN DIGESTIVE SURGERY – MINIMALLY INVASIVE TECHNIQUES – BARIATRIC SURGERY" from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She is currently an instructor in this postgraduate program at the University of Athens. She has received certification in laparoscopic surgery from the internationally renowned IRCAD center of excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Strasbourg. She is also certified in the use of surgical laser from a reference center for perianal diseases in Leipzig, Germany. She specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, Surgical Laser), as well as surgical oncology. She has served as Consultant Surgeon in the Robotic Surgery and Surgical Oncology Clinic at Metropolitan General Hospital and held the same position for three years at the Euroclinic of Athens. Additionally, she was Consultant Surgeon at the accredited Center of Excellence for Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery of the Euroclinic Athens. She is a member of Greek and European scientific societies, including the European and Hellenic Society of Endoscopic Surgery, the European and Hellenic Hernia Society, the European Society of Coloproctology, and the Hellenic Surgical Society, participating in their advanced training courses. She has numerous participations in conferences, seminars, and symposia in Greece and abroad and serves as a reviewer for the medical journals Cancer Medicine and Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International.

Dr. Svoronos Gerasimos is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Cholargos. He has 38 years of surgical experience, having performed a large number of operations. He holds a PhD and a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He served as the Head of the Surgical Department at the General Hospital for Thoracic Diseases of Athens "Sotiria" for 20 consecutive years. During his 20 years at the clinic, he participated in a significant number of surgical procedures.

Ioanna Papadopoulou is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Cholargos and Glyfada. She performs exclusively laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant conditions of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder and bile ducts, as well as all types of abdominal wall hernias. She received her Medical Degree from the “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi in 2012. She completed her rural service at the General Hospital of Messinia – Kyparissia Nursing Unit in 2013–2014. In 2021, she obtained her surgical specialty certification.

During her specialty training, she served at the 417 Army Fund Nursing Institution (N.I.M.T.S), where she specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery for malignant colon diseases, obesity, reflux, and hernias, as well as thyroid malignancies. Additionally, at the Sismanogleio General Hospital of Athens, she participated in a large volume of colon and thyroid cancer surgeries. Considering that the present of surgery lies in laparoscopic and robotic techniques, she attended advanced laparoscopic seminars organized by ELPEN under the auspices of the Hellenic Surgical Society from 2016 to 2018.

In 2021, she completed further training in Surgical Oncology, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, in 2023, she received additional training in the latest methods for managing complex diaphragmatic hernias and reflux at the Symposium on Innovation in Surgery in Malta.

Demiri Matina is a Oncologist - Pathologist and maintains a private practice within the Metropolitan Hospital in Cholargos. Her clinical focus encompasses all solid tumors, including gastrointestinal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), completed her Pathology specialty in 1987, and Oncology specialization in 2003. She has gained valuable experience working as a Consultant in Pathology-Oncology Clinics at prominent institutions such as Tzaneio General Hospital of Piraeus and the General Anti-Cancer Oncology Hospital of Athens "Agios Savvas." Since 2023, she has been serving as the Director of the 3rd Oncology Clinic at Metropolitan General Cholargos. Additionally, she is an active member of associations and organizations including the Hellenic Society for Neuroendocrine Tumors, where she serves as President, the Hellenic Society of Medical Oncologists (HSPO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society e.V. (ENETS), and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS). Finally, her significant contributions to research programs and publications were recognized in 2023 when she received an honorary distinction as Scientific Director "for her valuable contribution to patients and fellow physicians of the Clinic" at the 11th Panhellenic Congress "New Drugs in Oncology."
