He completed his specialty in General Surgery in 2011 and was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at the Navy Hospital of Athens. He specialized in liver, biliary tract, and pancreatic surgery both at reference centers in Greece and at the university hospital in Verona, Italy, where he also completed his postgraduate degree in this field. Concurrently, he pursued his doctoral thesis at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing on malignant diseases of the colon, obtaining his PhD in 2018.
