Ο Καθηγητής Δρ. Νικόλαος Βάσσος είναι πιστοποιημένος γενικός χειρουργός, χειρουργός σπλάχνων, χειρουργός πεπτικού και πρωκτολόγος καθώς και χειρουργός ογκολόγος, ενώ είναι ο πρώτος, πιστοποιημένος από την Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας, εξειδικευμένος χειρουργός σαρκωμάτων στην Ελλάδα και από τους πρώτους της Ευρώπης.

Παράλληλα είναι Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Χαϊδελβέργης της Γερμανίας και Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου , ενώ είναι ο Διευθυντής της Κλινικής της Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Αθηνών και ο Επικεφαλής του Κέντρου Σαρκώματος, Μελανώματος και Σπάνιων Όγκων του Ομίλου Ιατρικού Αθηνών.

Πραγματοποίησε τις σπουδές του στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης λαμβάνοντας για 6 συναπτά έτη υποτροφία από το Ίδρυμα Κρατικών Υποτροφιών, ενώ το 2007 αποφοίτησε πρώτος από την Ιατρική Σχολή με «Άριστα» λαμβάνοντας την τιμή να απαγγείλει τον Όρκο του Ιπποκράτη.

Μετά το πέρας των σπουδών του μετέβη απευθείας στο εξωτερικό και πραγματοποίησε το σύνολο της ειδικότητας της Χειρουργικής στο παγκοσμίου φήμης Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο Erlangen της Γερμανίας. Παράλληλα, πραγματοποίησε τις διδακτορικές του σπουδές με θέμα την προγνωστική αξία των ιντεργκρινών σε ασθενείς με ηπατικές μεταστάσεις κολοορθικού καρκίνου στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Erlangen-Nuremberg και ανακηρύχθηκε το 2013 Διδάκτωρ με τιμές. Στο ίδιο πανεπιστημιακό ίδρυμα έλαβε και τον Τίτλο του Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA) καθώς και τον Τίτλο της Ειδικότητας της Γενικής και Σπλαχνικής Χειρουργικής.

Παράλληλα, συνέχισε την κλινική, ερευνητική και ακαδημαϊκή του δραστηριότητα, ενώ έλαβε το 2015 ειδική μετεκπαίδευση στη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία σε διεθνούς ακτινοβολίας νοσοκομεία των ΗΠΑ ( Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center στη Νέα Υόρκη, Brigham and Women's Hospital του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard στη Βοστώνη).

Το 2016, έλαβε τον τίτλο της Υφηγεσίας και αναγορεύθηκε Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Erlangen-Nuremberg. Παράλληλα ολοκλήρωσε τη μετεκπαίδευσή του στην Χειρουργική της Περιτοναϊκής Καρκινωμάτωσης στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο του Regensburg της Γερμανίας και στο Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου, λαμβάνοντας τον Ευρωπαϊκό Τίτλο Εξειδίκευσης του Χειρουργού Περιτοναϊκής Καρκινωμάτωσης .

Το 2018 μετέβη στην Αγγλία λαμβάνοντας τιμητική θέση στο παγκοσμίου φήμης Royal Marsden Hospital του Λονδίνου, στο Τμήμα Σαρκώματος, Μελανώματος και Σπάνιων Όγκων της Πανεπιστημιακής Χειρουργικής Κλινικής, που αποτελεί το μεγαλύτερο Κέντρο της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας. Η πολύμηνη εκεί του θητεία ολοκληρώθηκε με επιτυχία λαμβάνοντας τον Ευρωπαϊκό Τίτλο Εξειδίκευσης ως Χειρουργός Σαρκωμάτων.

Στη συνέχεια και για τα επόμενα τέσσερα χρόνια εργάσθηκε στην Χειρουργική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου του Μάνχαϊμ στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Χαϊδελβέργης της Γερμανίας, ως Αναπληρωτής Διευθυντής στην Κλινική της Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας και στο Κέντρο Σαρκώματος , το οποίο αποτελεί ένα από τα ιστορικότερα και μεγαλύτερα Κέντρα παγκοσμίως. Κατά την παραμονή του εκεί απέκτησε μια τεράστια εμπειρία και εξειδίκευση που ελάχιστοι χειρουργοί στην Ευρώπη κατέχουν, και ανέλαβε τον Τομέα του Σαρκώματος στην Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας. Παράλληλα, συνεχίζοντας αμείωτα το ακαδημαϊκό, ερευνητικό και επιστημονικό του έργο, έλαβε το 2021 τον Τίτλο του Τακτικού Καθηγητή Χειρουργικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Χαϊδελβέργης, όντας ο νεότερος σε ηλικία χειρουργός που λαμβάνει αυτόν τον τίτλο.

Συνεχίζοντας με συνέπεια την ακαδημαϊκή του πορεία, απέκτησε πρόσφατα έναν ακόμη μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο (MSc) με βαθμό «Άριστα» από την Εθνική Σχολή Δημόσιας Υγείας και το Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής. Ο τίτλος του προγράμματος ήταν «Ηγεσία, Καινοτομία και Πολιτικές Αξίας στην Υγεία» , με εξειδίκευση στη «Λήψη Αποφάσεων και τον Σχεδιασμό Πολιτικών Υγείας» . Ενώ, η σταθερή και ουσιαστική ενασχόλησή του με τον τομέα της Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας οδήγησε στην απόκτηση του Ευρωπαϊκού Τίτλου Εξειδίκευσης στη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία (Fellow of the European Board of Surgery – FEBS in Surgical Oncology), ο οποίος απονέμεται από το European Board of Surgery – UEMS Section of Surgery . Πρόσφατα, εκλέχθηκε Τακτικός Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου .

Πλέον έχει επιστρέψει στην Ελλάδα έχοντας αναλάβει τη θέση του Διευθυντή στην Κλινική της Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Αθηνών ενώ είναι ο Επικεφαλής του Κέντρου Σαρκώματος, Μελανώματος και Σπάνιων Όγκων.

Ως ενεργό μέλος της Ακαδημαϊκής Κοινότητας του Πανεπιστημίου της Χαϊδελβέργης συνεχίζει το ακαδημαϊκό και ερευνητικό-επιστημονικό του έργο, για το οποίο έχει λάβει πολυάριθμες διακρίσεις . Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε πολλά διεθνή ερευνητικά πρωτόκολλα και πολυκεντρικές μελέτες ενώ το συγγραφικό του έργο αριθμεί πάνω από 65 επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις στο PubMed σε μεγάλα διεθνή ιατρικά περιοδικά με συνολικό impact factor 375, σχεδόν 2000 βιβλιογραφικές αναφορές και ειδικό δείκτη παραπομπών (h-index) 23, ενώ είναι συγγραφέας αρκετών κεφαλαίων σε συγγράμματα Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας. Είναι μέλος της επιστημονικής επιτροπής διεθνών συνεδρίων, προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε πολυάριθμα ιατρικά επιστημονικά συνέδρια, μέλος συντακτικής επιτροπής σε 12 έγκυρα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά και κριτής σε 40 διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά (peer reviewed). Παράλληλα είναι τακτικό και ενεργό μέλος πολλών διεθνών ιατρικών (χειρουργικών και ογκολογικών) εταιρειών , κατέχοντας νευραλγικές επιστημονικές και διοικητικές θέσεις σε αυτές, ενώ συμμετέχει στις επιστημονικές επιτροπές εκπαίδευσης και κατευθυντήριων οδηγιών της Ευρωπαϊκής Εταιρείας Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας

Ο Θανόπουλος Αριστομένης είναι έμπειρος Γενικός Χειρουργός με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη Γλυφάδα και δευτερεύον ιατρείο στο Περιστέρι. Είναι πτυχιούχος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης και κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος στη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία από το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Κατά την ειδίκευσή του στη Γενική Χειρουργική στα Νοσοκομεία «Ο Άγιος Ανδρέας» στην Πάτρα και «Γ. Σε όλη του την καριέρα, ο κ. Θανόπουλος έχει συμμετάσχει σε πάνω από 5.000 χειρουργικές επεμβάσεις, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη λαπαροσκοπική χειρουργική, αποκτώντας εξαιρετική εμπειρία σε ελάχιστα επεμβατικές και ογκολογικές τεχνικές. Perrakis Euaggelos MD, PhD is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Aigaleo. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He collaborates with various private healthcare facilities in Athens, such as the Athens Medical Center, and was the first to introduce the technique of complete mesocolic excision (CME) for the surgical treatment of colon cancer in Greece. He has taught at the University of Düsseldorf in Germany and has worked for over 10 years in major surgical centers in Germany. Additionally, he developed his own techniques for the repair of inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, and Spigelian hernias, which have been accepted by the European and global surgical communities. Dr. Theodoropoulos Dionysios is a Proctologist with 19 years of extensive experience in a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open methods. He specializes in laparoscopic excision of pilonidal cysts and the management and treatment of hemorrhoids. He holds a medical degree ("Diploma de Licensa," Diploma of License MD) from the "Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie GR T POPA" Medical School and has obtained professional licenses to practice in Greece, Sweden, Spain, and Romania. Within the scope of his specialization in General Surgery, he completed advanced training in the Vascular Surgery Department of the Konstantopouleio General Hospital and in the Plastic Surgery Department of the Oncology Hospital Agioi Anargyroi. Kelgiorgi Dionysia MD, MSc is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Chalandri. Dr. Ioannis Zouridakis, MD, MSc, is a General Surgeon and Breast Specialist who has maintained a private practice in Korydallos since 1994 and recently within REA Hospital. He is a Scientific Collaborator and a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He earned his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a doctoral thesis completed during his studies. Ioanna Papadopoulou is a General Surgeon and maintains private practices in Cholargos and Glyfada. She performs exclusively laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant conditions of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder and bile ducts, as well as all types of abdominal wall hernias. She received her Medical Degree from the “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi in 2012. Dr. Napoleon Xirokostas is a board-certified General Surgeon with subspecialty training in Laparoscopic, Robotic, and Oncologic Surgery. He maintains a private medical office in Rafina, Greece, and also serves as a Consultant Surgeon at the 1st Surgical Department of IASO General Hospital in Athens.

He completed his residency in General Surgery at Evangelismos General Hospital of Athens, the largest tertiary care and trauma center in Greece, where he also held the position of Chief Resident. Kaloxristianakis Nikolaos is a General Surgeon and Director of the 6th Surgical Clinic at Errikos Dunant Hospital Center. He has specialization and extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery of abdominal wall hernias and the digestive system (gallbladder, large and small intestine, stomach), as well as in diseases of the anus. He is a member of the Hellenic and European Societies of Endoscopic Surgery and the European Hernia Society (EHS) and maintains an active presence at international conferences in the field of Laparoscopic Surgery.

Dr Liagkos Th Georgios, MD, PhD, is a General Surgeon - Proctologist, graduate of the Medical School of Patras, and has been awarded the distinction of Outstanding Doctorate from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is the Director of the 2nd Surgical Clinic for Anorectal Diseases at the Lumedica group and a Scientific Collaborating Surgeon - Proctologist at Metropolitan Hospital in Neo Faliro and Therapis in Athens. He maintains private practices in Aigaleo and Lamia. He is a certified member of the American College of Surgeons (ATLS - ACS Committee on Trauma) and an active member of the Hellenic Surgical Society, the Hellenic Society of Endoscopic Surgery & Other Minimally Invasive Techniques, the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology, and the Hellenic Phlebology Society. He has specialized in Surgical Treatment of Anorectal Diseases and Intestinal Surgery at the General State Hospital of Nikaia, and has undergone additional training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery of Abdominal Wall Hernias. Additionally, he is certified in the use of modern optical fiber Laser, radiofrequency (RF), and ultrasound (HAL) techniques in the surgical management of anorectal diseases (coccygeal cyst, hemorrhoids, perianal fistula-abscess, anal fissure, condylomas). Annually, he is a speaker and contributor of presentations at numerous postgraduate seminars and conferences both abroad and in Greece, staying informed primarily on current advances in Proctology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Since 2017, he has served as a reviewer for the American Surgical Journal & Trauma Cases and Reviews, and in 2023, he announced the first worldwide publication presenting new data on the modern treatment of coccygeal cyst using Laser with the new Infinate Ring fiber.

Dr. Zisiadis Dimitris, MD, MSc, PhDc, is a General Surgeon and Director of the Surgical Clinic at the Athens Medical Center - Psychiko, with private practices in Kifisia, Agios Dimitrios, Ilion, and Psychiko. He is a doctoral candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and academically trained in proctology at the Strasbourg Medical University. He holds a postgraduate degree in Bioethics from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace. Additionally, it is worth mentioning his specialization in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg in France, in minimally invasive inguinal hernia repair at IRCAD, and his training in assisted robotic laparoscopic surgery. He has participated in numerous surgeries involving thousands of patients with complex conditions during his surgical practice in the public sector, as well as in various contemporary surgical reconstructions abroad, with a commitment to implementing these methods in Greece as well. He has served as a collaborating surgeon in numerous private centers in Greece, Italy, and the United Kingdom (London), participating in many general, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures. He utilizes the most advanced equipment and the latest techniques worldwide. He also trained in the repair of inguinal, scrotal, and ventral hernias using dual mesh and local anesthesia. Finally, he has attended numerous surgical conferences in Greece and courses of the Hellenic Surgical Society.
