Giofkos Xristos MD, MSc

Giofkos Xristos is a Psychiatrist with a private practice in Acharnes. He graduated from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace and holds a postgraduate degree in Social Psychiatry from the same university. He specialized in Psychiatry at the Attica Psychiatric Hospital "Dromokaiteio," the Korydallos Mental Health Center, and the P.G.N. "Attikon," and has received training in psychodynamic, systemic, and behavioral psychotherapy. He has extensive clinical experience and has served as a Consultant Psychiatrist for several years both in psychiatric hospitals and in community psychiatric service settings within the British National Health Service (NHS). After returning to Greece in 2023, he worked at the Polydynamo Day Center of Marousi E.P.A.PSY. and was responsible for psychiatric care at the psychosocial rehabilitation hostel "Odysseas." He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists of the United Kingdom (RCPsych, International Associate). He actively participates in international and Greek psychiatric conferences and has published scientific articles in reputable international journals. He aims to establish therapeutic relationships based on mutual trust and provides personalized psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment for the full spectrum of mental disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and personal problems.
