Θα ξεκινήσω από την πρώτη εντύπωση. Ο γιατρός σηκώθηκε στην πόρτα, με περίμενε όρθιος, χαμογελαστός και μου έκανε χειραψία. Ήταν εξαιρετικά ευγενικός καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της επίσκεψης και, ακόμη και στα σημεία της εξέτασης που μπορεί να με ενόχλησαν λίγο, ζητούσε συνεχώς συγγνώμη, παρότι ήταν απλώς μέρος της διαδικασίας. Μου εξήγησε αναλυτικά την πάθησή μου και όλες τις διαθέσιμες επιλογές, χωρίς σε καμία στιγμή να προσπαθήσει να με κατευθύνει προς κάποια συγκεκριμένη θεραπεία ή φάρμακο. Αντίθετα, τόνισε αρκετές φορές ότι δεν ήθελε να με επιβαρύνει με επιπλέον έξοδα χωρίς σοβαρό λόγο. Δεν ένιωσα ούτε στιγμή ότι προσπαθεί να μου «πουλήσει» κάτι ή να με οδηγήσει σε χειρουργική επέμβαση για δικό του όφελος. Η περίπτωσή μου ήταν σχετικά απλή, όμως η συνολική συμπεριφορά του, από την αρχή μέχρι το τέλος, ήταν πραγματικά ξεχωριστή. Για να είμαι ειλικρινής, έχω χρόνια να συναντήσω τέτοιο επίπεδο ευγένειας, ανθρωπιάς και επαγγελματισμού από γιατρό.

Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω τον γιατρό για την εξαιρετική εμπειρία που είχα. Πήγα λόγω έντονου πόνου στο δεξί αυτί και, αφού με εξέτασε προσεκτικά, μου εξήγησε αναλυτικά ότι πρόκειται για ωτίτιδα. Μου έδωσε όλες τις απαραίτητες πληροφορίες με απλό και κατανοητό τρόπο, απαντώντας με υπομονή σε κάθε απορία μου. Ήταν απόλυτα συνεπής στο ραντεβού, με υποδέχθηκε με χαμόγελο και με έκανε να νιώσω άνετα από την πρώτη στιγμή. Εκτίμησα ιδιαίτερα το γεγονός ότι δεν βιαζόταν και αφιέρωσε περισσότερο χρόνο από τον προγραμματισμένο, ώστε να γίνει σωστά η εξέταση και να μου εξηγήσει τα πάντα. Επιπλέον, μέσα στην τιμή της επίσκεψης καθάρισε και τα αυτιά μου, κάτι που θεώρησα πολύ θετικό. Συνολικά, πρόκειται για έναν εξαιρετικό επαγγελματία με πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον για τον ασθενή. Τον συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
