Dr. Marina Sykara is a Biologist and a Specialist Rheumatologist, holding a PhD from the Medical School of Athens (NKUA).

She began her studies at the Department of Biology, School of Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with an early focus on immunology and autoimmunity. After obtaining her first degree, she continued her studies at the Medical School of the University of Athens while simultaneously conducting and successfully completing her Doctoral Thesis with distinction at the same university, focusing on the study of molecular pathogenic mechanisms in systemic autoimmune diseases.
