Η Βασιλική Μπέσα MD, PhD είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (2007) και Διδάκτωρ της ίδιας σχολής, με διδακτορική διατριβή με θέμα την Χρόνια Αποφρακτική Πνευμονοπάθεια (2014). Διαθέτει εκτενή εκπαίδευση και πολυετή εμπειρία στην Πνευμονολογία – Φυματιολογία, έχοντας ολοκληρώσει την ειδικότητά της στην Πνευμονολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου Ruhrlandklinik, University Medicine Essen στη Γερμανία (2009–2015).
