Karantzouvali Panagiota is a specialist Psychiatrist with clinical experience in various fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy. She graduated from the Medical School of the English-speaking Comenius University in Bratislava. Subsequently, she served as a rural doctor at the Regional Clinic of Prosotsani and the Health Center of Prosotsani, in Drama. The first part of her specialty training was completed at the 424 General Military Hospital of Thessaloniki, where she was trained in the full spectrum of general psychiatry, with an emphasis on emergency case management. As part of her training, she participated for one year in the Psychiatric Outpatient Department of the 424 Hospital (ΨΤΕΠ), gaining experience in Individual Supportive Psychotherapy. She participated in Group Psychotherapies (Psychoses, Personality Disorders, Alcohol Use Disorder). The remainder of her specialty training was completed at the AHEPA University Hospital (management of acute psychiatric cases, regular outpatient clinics, liaison-consultation service). She actively participated in the Trauma Clinic, gaining experience in managing psychotraumatic conditions, in the Psychogeriatric Clinic, with active involvement in the diagnosis and monitoring of geriatric patients, patients with memory disorders and dementia, and in the Telepsychiatry Clinic. She has completed a one-year supervised training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She is also a certified Psychotherapist of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).
