Pediatricians

Syrmou Areti is a Pediatrician and Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She maintains a private practice in Metamorfosi. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in the Second University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children's Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou." Additionally, she is a breastfeeding counselor and specialist in infant and child nutrition through the Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition at Boston University School of Medicine, having been trained in malnutrition, obesity, nutritional deficiencies, vegetarian diets, and gut microbiota. Maria Kalampogia - Polyxroni is a Pediatrician with a private practice in Neos Kosmos. She studied Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Subsequently, she specialized in Pediatrics at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Athens General Hospital "Elena Venizelou - Alexandra," the Pediatric Clinic of "Sismanoglio" General Hospital of Komotini, and the Second University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children's Hospital of Athens "P. & A. Kyriakou," where she obtained her specialty certification in November 2019. She has been trained in Neonatal Life Support, Basic Life Support and the use of Automated External Defibrillator (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with Automated External Defibrillation BLS/AED), as well as in Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS). She has experience monitoring routine and emergency cases in children of all ages, having worked in the Pediatric Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital and Euroclinic Children’s Hospital, as well as in the Neonatal Department (Nursery) of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic "Gaia." Η Κατόπη Κωνσταντίνα είναι παιδίατρος και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην περιοχή της Ηλιούπολης από το 2008. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Dr. Thanos Xristos is a Pediatrician, specialized in Germany in Infectious Diseases and in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. Since October 2022, he has maintained his private practice in Kalamaria and, since December 2022, he serves as a Pediatrician at the "Agios Loukas" Clinic in Thessaloniki. Until May 31, 2023, he practiced for four years as a private specialist physician in pediatric and adolescent medicine at a family/pediatric practice in Berlin. Dr. Xristos is a graduate of the Democritus University of Thrace. As part of his postgraduate training, he obtained a Certificate in Clinical Nutrition in Pediatrics after successful examinations (DGKJ) and recognition by the Ärztekammer Westfalen Lippe. He is an Authorized collaborator of the A' Test (school readiness screening) and has attended IBCLC Lactation Consultant Seminars. During his specialization and further training, he worked in Germany at academic hospitals of the University of Münster, gaining two years of work experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level 1) and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Gkouma Viktoria is a Pediatrician with a private practice in Marousi. She holds a medical degree from the School of Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Pediatrics at the Pediatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Kastoria, the University General Hospital of Larissa, and the University Pediatric Surgery Clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland (CHUV). Panagiotopoulou Tzortzina MSc, IBCLC is a Pediatrician - Certified Breastfeeding Consultant IBCLC and maintains a private practice in Cholargos. She graduated in 2006 from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (N.K.U.A.) and continued her postgraduate training at the same university, specializing in clinical Pediatrics and Nursing Research, which she completed in 2017. In the same year, she obtained the Pediatric specialty title after specializing at the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the Children's Hospital of Athens "Agia Sofia". Subsequently, she received two certifications in pediatric nutrition through distance learning at Ludwig-Maximilians University (Germany) and Boston University (USA). Έλαβε τον τίτλο της Ειδικού Παιδιάτρου, είναι Πιστοποιημένη Σύμβουλος Θηλασμού από το Ινστιτούτο Υγείας του Παιδιού και εξουσιοδοτημένη συνεργάτης για τη διενέργεια της Ανιχνευτικής Δοκιμασίας Σχολικής Ετοιμότητας (Α’ ΤΕΣΤ). Στο πλαίσιο της διαρκούς επιμόρφωσης και εκπαίδευσης του παιδιάτρου, συμμετέχει ενεργά σε επιστημονικά συνέδρια και σεμινάρια που καλύπτουν όλο το φάσμα της Παιδιατρικής και των υποειδικοτήτων της, ενώ συμμετέχει στο μετεκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα για την παιδιατρική διατροφή PGPN PRO της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Boston University (ΗΠΑ).

Loukas Ioannis is a Pediatrician who maintains a private practice in Neos Kosmos. He holds a degree from Universita' degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza". He completed his specialty training at the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children’s Hospital "Panagioti & Aglaia Kyriakou". He has accumulated professional experience from a large number of hospital institutions, and currently serves as a Scientific Collaborator for the Affidea Euroiatriki group and as a contracted pediatrician with the Ministry of National Defense. The physician participates in numerous educational conferences in Greece and abroad as part of ongoing scientific training in the latest developments in Pediatrics. Additionally, he holds EPLS (European Pediatric Life Support) certification. Finally, the physician is a member of the Athens Medical Association.
