He maintains an active private collaboration with Metropolitan Hospital, where he also serves as an Attending Physician. Previously, he has worked in the Third Orthopedic Clinic of Athens General Hospital KAT, in the Microsurgery and Hand Surgery Department of KAT, as well as in the Sports Injuries Department of the same hospital, gaining extensive experience in trauma and total knee and hip arthroplasty. He has also worked in the Second Orthopedic Clinic of "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital as an orthopedic surgeon, at Livadeia General Hospital, and earlier served as a surgical resident in General Surgery at the same hospital. With experience in contemporary orthopedics and an active scientific interest in metabolic bone diseases, he undertakes cases and provides individualized patient care. Dr. Tsapakidis Giannis was born in Larisa in 1975 and graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2000. He received a scholarship from AO and worked as a Fellow at the Sports Injuries and Trauma Center of Queens Medical Centre University Hospital in Nottingham. Since 2006, he has served as the team physician for the women's basketball team “ESPERIDES” Kallithea (Women’s A1 Basketball Champion for 2006-07 and 2008-09 and Greek Cup Winner for 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, and 2008-09). From 2015 to 2018, he was part of the medical team covering orthopedic concerns for the athletes of KAE AEK. Since 2013, he has provided medical coverage for the basketball team PROTEAS VOULAS and from 2015 to 2025 served as the medical provider for the athletes of the basketball team KAE AMAROUSIOU.
