She has worked at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," the General Hospital of Attica KAT, and the Athens Medical Center. Additionally, she has participated in seminars on periodontology, endodontics, orofacial pain, and dental surgery, as well as seminars on implantology and aesthetic dentistry, and has attended numerous Greek dental conferences. Dr. Matina graduated from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently worked at a dental clinic in Munich, Germany, and at an orthodontic clinic in Stuttgart. She holds a PhD from the University of Giessen, Germany, having completed a doctoral thesis on the topic "Skeletal morphology of attractive and unattractive faces." She is a Platinum Provider of the Invisalign method and has been certified in the COIP (Clear Ortho International Program), which she attended in Madrid, focusing on the management of complex cases using Invisalign transparent aligners.
