He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Basel in Switzerland, a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Orthodontics Department at Tufts University in Boston, USA, holds a doctorate from the University of Bern in Switzerland, and a doctorate from the University of Oulu in Finland. He studied at the Dental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and subsequently moved to the USA for postgraduate studies at Tufts University in Boston. At Tufts, he initially trained in Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, Facial Pain, and Sleep/Obstructive Sleep Apnea Disorders, and subsequently attended the Orthodontics program, from which he earned his orthodontic specialty diploma. He has published a significant number of papers in international journals focusing on modern orthodontic methods and has delivered numerous lectures both in Greece and abroad. Furthermore, he is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics and a full member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists.
