Dr. Miraxtsis Theodoros MD, PhD is an Ophthalmic Surgeon - Military Physician and Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic at the 424 General Army Hospital of Thessaloniki, with a private practice in Thessaloniki. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a graduate of the Military Officers School of Corps (SSAS). He has completed postgraduate studies in Pediatric Ophthalmology and, as part of his doctoral thesis, he is extensively involved in the management of macular diseases (wet and dry age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema or post-thrombotic conditions), with the administration of new anti-angiogenic agents (anti-VEGF) and lasers. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Ophthalmology at the General Hospital of Piraeus "Tzaneio". He pursued further training in "Imaging in Ophthalmology" at the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace. Additionally, since 2013, he has held the European Diploma of Ophthalmology, a title awarded in Paris after specialized examinations covering all ophthalmologic subspecialties. Besides his private practice, he provides home visits for individuals with limited mobility.
